Unity has HIP HOP EVERY WEEK!

What is SO VERY SPECIAL about it? Here is the "DEETS" and the "LOW DOWN" on the whole thing!

Grab a cup of coffee and enlighten yourself....EVERYONE loves to HIP HOP!

This is what we do:

• We start at 10:00 am CENTRAL and chat it up into the wee hours of the evening!

• We start with the BLOG HOP of the Unity DT MEMBERS - It begins on the Unity Stamp Company blog and leads you through ALL the DT Members blogs with one link after the other. On the LAST BLOG LINK there is an option to leave comments and qualify for the BLOG CANDY!

• Give $300.00 worth of prizes EVERY HIP HOP Thursday!!!

• Release a NEW SINGLE every week - and SOMETIMES even release NEW Unity KITS!

• We post FUN, FUN, FUN Challenges during HIP HOP that EVERYONE has the option to participate in and LOVE EACHOTHER UP FOR!

• We make new friends, nourish existing friendships and simply feel GREAT about all being together!

• We give prizes according to random picks posted on the SCS Challenge HIP HOP Thread. So PARTICIPATE on the SCS Challenges all week long and bring your Creations back to the HIP HOP THREAD.

• We have the Unity GIRLS talking all day long and at night the Unity BOYS chime in and TALK SMART...They TRY to keep up with the THREAD as they toss out prizes and livin the joint up!

• Unity pulls SINGLE STAMPS out of their KITS. This is an opportunity to purchase SINGLE stamps for ONE DAY!

• Once a MONTH we pick someone of this world that needs just a little extra help and donates funds to their cause. It is a way for Unity to touch someone INDIVIDUALLY.

Here is the STORY BEHIND THE WHOLE "Hip Hop" Phrase!

Here is the inside scoop if you are wondering. Like most things of this nature you had to be there to appreciate the comical aspect of it, but I assure you: it was amusing to say the least!

STORY BEHIND THE HIP HOP!

The HIP HOP! is from my husband who has a DEEP MASCULINE VOICE. He started it awhile back at Unity. Chris and some of the Unity crew were discussing a scene in the movie "Big Daddy". Apparently there is a spot in the movie where they are doing flash cards for the little boy and the pizza delivery guy who is a little slow. The boy is running through the flash cards that read {dog} {cat} {hat} etc. They get to the card for the "slow" delivery guy and he gets {HIPPOPOTAMOUS}. They guy proceeds to sound it out as HIP-HOP-O-PONT-A- MOUS...they had a laugh at this and proceeded to get to work at Unity. Later that afternoon, we were all running around this place STRESSED out, and Chris with his deep voice SQUEALS out super loud HIP-HOP! With the "HOP" part of it super loud and super HIGH PITCHED. SO...then at CHA we are all sitting in the hotel pub and in comes a rowdy crowd making all kinds of noise. Chris out of NO-WHERE shouts out CAN I GET A HIP HOP!? and silences everyone in the bar. It was hilarious. These people then start to mock the HIP HOP thing and it became the weekend show stopper. THE Unity Boys would shout it in the OPEN LOBBY area that is shown on my blog and it would RING through out the hotel. You had to be there, but it was pretty amusing and gut busting funny as they always picked the PERFECT time to make a shout out. CLASSIC!

I'm glad I found out the directions so to speak! I'm a virtual stranger I know because I mostly lurk. I have respiratory failure and lung disease, so I am on an oxygen machine 24/7 and I have RA, so I can't sit here that long and I can't type that much. I do LOVE seeing this world of blogs that is new to me and all of the wonderful stamps, items, projects and blogs! That is how I found Unity and I have managed to purchase a few of their wonderful stamps.

Ok, I looked at the Unity site, they have some cute stamps. I also found that one of the LSS near where I work carries unity, so I will have to go a little early today and see what I can find. I don't realy like this particular store - in fact, I wouldn't go in there, except I want to check out the unity stamps. Not sure that unity will be at the Scrapbook Expo this weekend - that would be nice if they were!!
