Actually, the top flap on this backpack is a deviation from the template. I used a die cut from the Blooms Die Cuts package (p. 166 of the IB&C). I have several other backpacks on my blog if you want to see one with the normal flap.

Thanks so much for sharing this one, it will go down well in boy papers as goodie bags for my son's 10th birthday party in a couple of months. It gives me time to prepare them as well. If I can do a job half as good as yours I will be extremely happy.

Splitcoaststampers - Backpack Box Project Tutorial by Mary Arima
This is the tutorial here on SCS for the backpackbox. Although slightly different it should help.
