I love mine! The 2 pieces snap together so you can make it really long if you are using it for something like wrapping paper. It is also marked so that if you want alternating rows of wheels (such as a green row then a yellow row), it's easy to space them correctly.
I just used mine to make 52 invitations for my pastor's wife. It was quite an undertaking, but the wheel guide made it easier and the rows came out perfect.

I use it all the time - I tend to curve without it.
I use SU grid paper to line up my paper, then also to line up the wheel guide. You have to get familiar with it - figure out where to place it on your paper to get the images where you want.
BTW it DOES come with instructions - they are inside the package label. I had mine for two months before I figured this out, LOL.

I never use mine and I'm in the process of removing all the rubber off the whells and mounting on E-Z mount. I use my wheel "rubber" much more now than I ever used when it was still on the wheel. I thought that if I bought the wheel guide I'd use the wheels more, nope, didn't do it for me.

Ditto! I had the guides and I still wasn't that great with driving the wheels. Now that they are re-mounted with EZ Mount, I can easily ink up the long stamp and I'm able to stamp a straight, well-inked image. I think I was wheel-challenged. LOL
I have photos of my remounted wheel stamps in my gallery. (I stamped an index on the cling side of the mount so that I can see what I am stamping though the clear block.)

I sell lots of the wheel guides to my AR/perfectionist stampers! In fact, when I demonstrate wheels at a workshop, I don't use the guide because I've been using wheels long enough that I don't seem to have a problem with getting fairly straight lines, but I always point out that I "know" there is at least one perfectionist in the crowd who will want to make 100% certain that their wheeled line is 100% straight and for them, we have the wheel guide.
I use my guides all the time!! I just used them to line up cuttlebug letters on a card too so that they would be straight. I am one of those people who like to be perfectly straight when I use my wheels. I don't wheel without them.
I am not OVERLY percise when I use my wheels.... That is one thing I am not OCD about... however, I have the guide... take it to my workshops, and I think that they serve a purpose... I personally just rarely if ever use them.
One great tip I use is I go diagnal on my backgrounds when using my wheels, because if they aren't straight then it isn't as important.
I would say unless you are particular... spend the money on something else.

Same here - it's so much easier to use the long strip as a stamp with an acrylic block and get perfect results every time!
YOu know I purchased a wheel before I had the guide. I did not use the darn thing because I could never get it to come out straight. I bought one of the colorbox guides and love it . I actually bought a ton more of the rollars. Like I need any more stuff.
I've been thinking about the wheel guide as well . . .question for the girls who are using the EZ mount. . . .do you have a difficult time lining up the image when you need to stamp two in a row (horizontally)? I scrapbook alot of 12x12 pages, and use wheels for background or borders - so I would be interested to know this answer.

I don't have the one SU sells, but another one by Colour Box, and I couldn't make a straight line without it. Definely worth the money [and that one was much cheaper]
I have to agree. I like (actually love) putting borders on everything and I like the idea of the wheels. Getting them to go on straight was another matter. I saw the guides in the SU catty and bought them. Now I can get a decently straight border.
Are rollagraph and SU wheels interchangeable? Im just getting into wheels. I dont have a handle yet. Anyone compared rollagraph ink to SU ink like on Creative Images website?
Years ago I had a SU wheel and I remember being frustrated with it because the ink didnt cover the wheel uniformly but at my next stamp club Im going to in Sept shes going to use wheels so hopefully I can figure out what I did wrong cuz I'd really like to use wheels.

Yes, the SU handles are made by Rollagraph, just have the Stampin' Up logo added. (I'm not sure about the ink.)

Oh No...I must have a personal problem because I hate mine...I am always running up and over it...like it needs some wheeling too. Anyway, I might try one more time. :(
