LSC174 - Brads are NOT the Pits!
Okay, that is a BrAD pun, but I couldn’t help myself! I’m so excited to be hostessing the LSC challenges with Jeanne and Dawn Mercedes!
I am kind of the Queen of All Tools and Embellishments, so getting me to limit myself really IS a challenge. I had to go back to the roots of what the LSC was designed for . . . remember as we are all starting out we have the very basics in supplies? Cardstock, ink and stamps . . . the first embellishments I really allowed myself to get in more than one color were brads and eyelets. Hence, the challenge this week is to use a brad (or SOME brads) as the ONLY embellishment on your creation. AND the brad has to be incorporated INTO the stamped image, not just an accent in the corner. (No ribbon, other hardware, primas, Stickles, etc. allowed!!) Try to focus on the stamped image, using the brads to make it POP!!
I didn’t limit myself quite so much on the layers, since the rest of the design was more simplistic.
I also employed the help of my 14 year old daughter, “Wendybell’s Girl” – aka Amelia – in making a sample (this could be a fun little tradition!)
Here are some samples:
Fabulous Wishes
Bee Happy
Colorful Birthday

If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!
