Alternate Openings Card SWAP- On their way to their new homes ;)
Alternate Openings Card Swap
I am tired of taking a sheet of 8 1/2" X 11" paper and cutting it in half one way and then scoring it in half the other way. This swap is for alternate openings and as the name suggests the requirement is that the opening is not the basic cut/fold listed above. The resource page is full of great instructions! Some examples include, but are not limited to: A Big Buckle Card, Cami's Trifold Card, A Criss Cross Card,& A Double Slider Card.
Description: Full card-in this case I am allowing cards that do not measure 4 1/4" X 5 1/2", but they should be able to fit into the standard invitation envelope. Also, please include at least two layers and one embellishment (such as glitter, ribbon, brads, eyelets, etc.).
Quantity: 5+1 This means you send in 6 cards of the same design, and you will receive 5 different cards back. You can sign up for multiple slots, but must make a different card for each slot. I'll add as many spots as requested!
Vendor products: By popular demand, this will be a NO VENDOR REQUIREMENT (NVR) swap. Please use papers and products that are comparable to Stampin' Up!'s quality though.
Recipe: not required, but if you choose to do so, please include your real name, SCS Name, and products and techniques used.
Please sign your card backs (even if you choose not to send a recipe) so we know who to gush to when we get your awesome card!
Deadlines: Sign up by: August 15th. Due in my hands on or before August 30. I will not hold the swap back for late arrivals. If you determine that you can’t do the swap, just let me know on this thread, or send a Private Message (PM). Late cards will be returned unopened .
Mailing instructions
Packaging: Place swap items in a large baggie for waterproof purposes. Write your real name, SCS name, and address (in case the envelope gets torn open by the delicate services of the USPS) on a piece of paper and include in the baggie for identification purposes.
First Class: Place baggie inside a self-addressed stamped envelope for return mail purposes. The amount of postage on your SASE should be the same amount that it takes to mail to the swap hostess. To ensure that enough postage will cover the returned swap items, include additional postage which will be returned if not used. Do NOT use metered mail postage on your return envelope, use actual postage stamps only.
Priority: Inside your baggie, include a self-addressed priority label and one priority stamp. I will provide the priority return envelope. Place your baggie and/or SASE envelope inside your mailing envelope. When you are ready to mail your swaps, PM me and I will give you my address.
Swap Return: I will have return swaps in the mail to you on September 5.
