Default Nestabilities work with Cuttlebug/

Does anyone know if the Nestabilities dies work in the CuttleBug system?

Oh yeah!! The only cutting/embossing tool I own is the Cuttlebug! And I can hardly do anything these days without wanting to use my Nestabilities. ;)

Yes! I love my Bug! And my nesties! That said ~ they do take a bit getting the sandwich thing just right ~ I found that C was to big ~ so I use a piece of a cereal box (cut to size) & 2 pieces of computer paper. My Bug seems to be loosening up a bit so I'm going to see if the C plate would work better now... Each Bug seems to have it's own personality (so to speak)....

Don't forget when ordering Spellbinders Nestabilities to order the Tan Embossing Mat too, you'll need it to be able to emboss with the dies!

Have fun!

Default Nestabilities with Cuttlebug

I just got my first set of Nestabilities and they work great in the Cuttlebug. If you can find a tutorial, it would be helpful to check it out first. Some recommend using thin chipboard in the sandwich because Nesties are thinner than regular Cuttlebug folders.

I HAVED USED NESTABILITIES WITH MY CUTTLEBUG. THEY WORK GREAT. I USE A MAGNETIC SHEET TO HOLD DOWW THE NESTIE, SO I CAN CENTER MY CARDSTOCK. MUSC EASIER. IT TAKES PRCTICE TO GET THE SANDWICHES JUST RIGHT, BUT IT WORKS. I JUST TREATED MYSELF TO THE NEW WIZARD, VERY CHEAP AT PAPERDREAMS, AND WITH THE PURCHASE OF ANOTHER NESTIE, I GOT FREE SHIPPING. I WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW THE NEW WIZARD WORKS IN RELATION TO THE CUTTLEBUG.

You can certanily use your cuttlebug with ALL of the Spellbinders Dies..... including Nestabilities ......here is the sandwich that works the best....

TO CUT:
Place the A Plate down First
Place the C Plate on the A Plate
Place the Spellbinders Die (face up or ridges up) on the C Plate
Place the Cardstock on top of the die
Place B Plate on top of CS and run thru the bug

TO EMBOSS:
Remove the B Plate
Place your finger on the die to hold it down and slip out the C Plate (DO not flip your die over... leave it face up)
Place Spellbinders Tan Embossing mat on top of the die
Place 3 pieces of Cardstock on top of die to shim for added pressure
Place 2 B Plates (stacked together) on top of CS and run thru the bug.

NOTE: if you use a Spellbinders Nestability to make a card OR a Spellbinders Edgeability Card making Die only SHIM with 2 pieces of SC on the embossing step. This will help you to avoid over shimming and B plate breakage.

This is the sandwich combination I demonstrate all of the US at consumer shows..... it works every time and I never break my B Plates. I just finished a DVD showing this and it will be available soon. hope this helps...

& Smiles

I love your tutorial.
#1... because your little boy's hands are so cute.
#2... because you put the Nesties cutting side down like I do.

I wondered for a long time why so many people insisted that the dies had to go in the Cuttlebug with the blade side up. Then I purchased and used the a Cuttlebug alphabet. Uh Oh!!! Those things will WaRp if you put them in with the blade side down.
So.... I still put most everything else in like you show.. blade side down. Just not the Cuttlebug alphabets.

Awesome tutorial! Ok, one more question - what is the sandwich if I'm going to cut a thin coaster (as opposed to cardstock)?
