Okay, I know I read on this site that Take Ten would be released around the 1st of March. I still can not find it at my Borders or Michaels. :( Has everyone else been able to find it in their communities? Or an I wrong and it just hasn't been released to the newstand yet?
I, too, have checked the stores in my area that carry the Stamper Sampler magazine and no luck yet. That would include Barnes and Noble, Michael's, and Hastings. The two scrapbook places nearest to me say that they have ordered and are expecting to receive by the middle of March.
So I'll keep checking back!
Oops! I forgot to ask about the Catch Up edition on the Stamper's Sampler. Is the latest version VIII? And does anyone know when it will or did come out? I was reading something about it the other day can now can't find the ad...don't remember if it was an older magazine or a newer one that I saw it in.
My head is foggy with visions of Balmy Breezes and Paint prints....
I saw Catch Up 8 at Borders, but I didn't buy it. It was way too "artsy" for me. Kinda opposite of Take Ten. Very cool stuff in there, just not my style for the most part!
you can ask your borders to order it for you or you can go on line to stampington.com. there is no subsciption but you can order volumes 3 and 4. also catch up is nothing like it although put out by the same company. it is more like stampers sampler. you will absolutely love take ten
I got mine yesterday. I ordered it from WWW.Stampington.com. I, personally, am not as impressed with it as I was with previous issues. Just not my style of stamping.

I received my copy (ordered via stampington.com) last week. I wasn't as impressed either - there are some BEAUTIFUL cards there, but I think I've got idea overload from looking at the truly wonderful cards on SCS!
I got mine at my local stamp store. I to have looked at Michaels and Barnes and Nobles and have not seen them there before. I also, ordered a copy of the 3rd one at the websites that listed in the previous posts. I cann't wait til I get it. Does anyone know how long it takes to get it. I ordered it about a week ago.
I ordered Vol 3 and 4 and JUST received them about 1/2 hr ago. This is the first time I've ever laid eyes on them and I can get quite a few ideas from them. Haven't seen them in the stores yet though.

I agree. There are many beautiful submissions but it seems that many of the samples lean in the direction that Stamper's Sampler has gone...more artsy. While I admire the effort involved, it doesn't seem to fit with the original premise of "Take Ten" which was cards that could be recreated in approximately 10 minutes (even though it takes me longer than that just to bring the supplies up from the basement. )
I have marked several pages but not nearly as many as in the previous three volumes. Maybe I am becoming spoiled with all of the great inspiration that I find on SCS.
Those of you who weren't impressed, would you want to sell it, or trade, I have SAB sets
Sunshine
Sunny - Well, I didn't mean I don't like it! It just didn't contain as many new, cool techniques as in the past. Still plenty of beautiful cards however.
