I give up on using vellum!!!!!!!! I have tried everything on the market I can find and all of the adhesives show through. GRRRRRRR Whew that feels better. Any idea's of a "wonder product" THANKS
I have ordered vellum tape from QVC...seems to work okay for me. Can still see it A LITTLE, but it's the best I've found so far (well, it's the only thing I've used so far).
When I bought mine though, it came with 3 rolls. So if it's something you want to try, I'd have a couple other ladies go in with you to purchase. I haven't even used half of one roll and I ordered it almost 2 years ago!
All my adhesives show through. Some people swear by coating the whole thing via xyron, but I don't have one. If I really don't want the adhesive to show, I use eyelets/brads/ribbon to attach the vellum, or I cover where the adhesive shows with another overlapping cs layer or an embellishment...
Good luck!

Don't give up on it! It can be very fun & cool looking. I don't know about an adhesive that won't show through, but I do have some thoughts about how I use vellum. You can attach it with a little piece of adhesive that will be hidden when you put something else over top of it. In most cases you will be putting something over top of the vellum somewhere that you can hide the adhesive. You can also use brads or eyelets to attach it...this would be to do a vellum pocket or something like that. If using brads/eyelets, I just put a little tiny bit of adhesive where I'm going to punch...this will hold it still while you punch. I know I've read somewhere on here about an adhesive that won't show, I'm just not remembering what it was....
Try using something that's MEANT to be seen! Eyelets, brads, staples, ribbon, hemp, embroidery floss, sewing, or corner punches. Secure it behind strips of cardstock or tuck it into cardstock punched with the slit punch. Layer it with a cardstock "frame" over the top of it so you can hide the adhesive underneath the frame. Layer it on a piece of cardstock where you fold one side of the cardstock over the top of the vellum - that side of the vellum is secured and the rest of it can hang free like a page of a book (make sense???). I haven't tried the xyron idea yet, but I have also heard that spray adhesive works (don't know from experience though). Look in the catalog for more ideas, or search the gallery for vellum as the key word. I'll bet you'll find lots of ideas on how to use it and hide the adhesive. Don't give up!
I love vellum. I use the 2-way glue pen to attach my vellum. You carefully run it right on the edge (almost of the edge) all the way around and then place it where you want it. Doesn't show unless you used to much. I friend had vellum tape and I did not like it.
The best adhesive I've found for Vellum is from Fiskars, called "Photo Memories", Fiskars product number 3377. ItThey are clear mounting stickers and come 500 in a little pull up type box. They are very small and have a tab on one side to lift off the backing easily. Nothing is absolutely clear, but these have worked for me.

I use a spray adhesive ... works great! My hands get a little sticky if I'm holding it, but you could put your piece in a box (like a shoebox) & spray into it.
I use the spray adhesive and it doesn't show at all. I'm out right now, or I'd tell you the name, but you just spray it on the back of the vellum to make it tacky.
OK TYVM I will not give up on vellum until I try every idea out here. Love the idea of putting something over it like a brad or an eyelet. I just like the way vellum looks so much. Off to eyelet and brad land to correct my glue spots
THANKS ALL
NO, NO, NO, don't give up on vellum it's sooooo pretty.
When you use the vellum tape make sure you put it on your cardstock first, then rub, then put the vellum on top of that..... so far I haven't had any problems with using the vellum tape from 3M
This was in another thread about attaching vellum:
WAYS TO ATTACH VELLUM:
• Eyelets
• Vellum tape
• Ribbon
• Wrap the edges around to the back side of the card stock and adhere there
• Brads
• Small bits of adhesive layered underneath solid or patterned cardstock, overlaying the vellum
• Corner slot punch
• Spray adhesive by Krylon
• Glue dots
• Xyron

3M vellum tape•
Wacky Tac Vellum Tape!!! They sell it at AC Moore -- and probably else where also. It works great!! I was stressing over vellum also, but I LOVE this stuff!!!
I have always used "Incredi-tape" made by Coffe Break Design. You can get it in !/4" and 1/8". Comes on a 36 yard roll and costs about $5. Don't have a problem with it showing much, if at all.
Says it is also Heat Resistant and can be used with Embossing, Foiling, Glitter, Beads or Flocking.
I have used the 3M vellum tape, and you really cant see it.
There is a trick to using it though... put it onto the cardstock first, rub the back REALLY well with the bone folder, then pleel off the backing and attatch your vellum. The only times I ever see it is when I dont rub the back well enough, or if some dust lands on the tape before I put the vellum on.
Although, my all time fav for attatching vellum is using brads or ribbon.
