WT160 - Now Here's the Rub
Now here's the rub....today's challenge is to find ways to use Rub-on Transfers. I know many of you haven't tried them yet and in the past few months, many of you have. I love stamping and I also love the clean look of rub-ons. I'm hoping you will all join in today and give rub-ons a try. You can use them on so many things...cards, plastic, transparencies, layouts, glass, even combine them with stamping. So have some fun today...pull them out and see what you come up with! Now if you don't have any rub-ons, they are widely available at craft and scrapbooking stores. You can even try your hand at creating you own. I found this link here but also know there are others out there using a spray. If anyone has a link or instructions for that...please feel free to add it below.
Please remember to put WT160 in your keywords section and post a link back here. Please upload as many NEW designs as you wish. We want to get you creating.
My Sample: Heartfelt Thanks
Shel9999's Sample: Thelma & Louise
Bettie27's Hostess Gifts
Thanks for playing along!
Have a fabulous day!
Julia

Thanks for the challenge, Julia. I don't have any Rub-on. Maybe I should ''put some on my LIST''. That list gets really long sometimes. I will check out the link for making my own.

How lucky I got, I had this on my desk to upload to my gallery today and it fits! Love when that happens--this is my favorite example of how beautiful rubons can be on a card. Hope you like too.

Wowza---I think i am going to push myself to use them on a card! I have used them on many more permanent things, but using them on a card seems so decadent! Thanks for the push, will play after work today!

Here is my card for today, I was out of transperancy film but I have a lot of this vinyl left over from a project so I tried this instead. Love how this card turned out, I guess my iron will see the light of day for a few hours.

An old card for a new challenge. I admit it - I am a cheater! I am travelling for work and away from my stamping stuff but couldn't resist submitting something for this challenge. I like how the rub-ons turned out on this card so couldn't resist submitting it.
Forgive me!
Thanks Julia!

Ohh...I don't have any rub-ons! Home on vacation and can't play! We were just in the city on a couple-day get away, and I glanced at them in a beautiful store, but passed them by! Oh well...have fun everyone...maybe I should checkout how to make them myself...
In any case...thanks for the great challenge, Julia!!!

Julia and all, I made and loaded this last night. It's a 3 x 3 card and I made my own rub-on with instructions from CanadianKristen. The 3 x 3 is for the April scrabooking thread as a little "atta-girl" for finishing 3 pages.
I can't wait to make more of my own rub-ons. Mostly for the sentiments INSIDE of a card. When I want to say the exact, right, perfect thing.
Enjoy!
Uses transparency, printer (set mirror image), popscicle stick
