I am in Burlington, Ontario - and I get mine from Curry's also. You can get them online, and if you buy more than $35 or so (not exactly sure what the quantity is), shipping is free!
I am in Australia, I bought mine this morning from Hanna Stamps cost me AU$ 65.55 for 12 including the US$7 shipping. I used a 10% coupon which I found on the blog.
They are US$3.33 which is about AU$4.95. Not too bad. xx

I have prismas and copics (more copics though). I love the variety of colors that Copic offeres, Prismacolors seems kind of limited. I think my preferece is copic, but love the prismas too, especially for coloring small areas, they are similar to the copic originals considering their nibs.

stampingscrapping sells them in the wholesale special order section for a great price. You have to signup for the special / whole sale section on the site and then you can see the prices. She only charges actual shipping and ships to Canada, its a great place to shop. The sketch are 3.95
Oh wow, I bought mine from her ioffer.com then she moved to this new site when I needed to buy individuals. I received mine fast without any issues. Hmmmmm.

great thread....I am seriously considering the copic craze....the steep price has been holding me back so it is nice to see there are places to purchase them at a lower cost.

I have gotten mine from Ellen Hutson as well. But I found a place closer (hour away) and her prices are very reasonable (cheaper) and Lisa is super to deal with. If there isn't a color you want, she will bring it in and shipping is free for $100+ http://www.lisasscrapshack.com/index...s641oi9e79te00
I am also in Canada looking to start buying Copics. Can anyone tell me what you were charged for border/import taxes when you ordered from the US?
Thanks
I got mine from Oozak before the price changes which are from Copic themselves. So if you really want the best price you may have to wait for a special sale or offer no matter what the company is.
Hey all, just wanted to post something I didn't know, when you go to the oozak site, be sure to register and log in for the correct and current price. I am glad I found out to do this. Just a little heads up for anyone ordering. I am hoping to order the ciao's sometime this weekend and getting all 144 (fingers crossed).
Hope this helps save someone money!
Another soon to be satisfied customer!

Sounds like you got the 72A & B packs!
The one thing I did was put them into their color families in the cases that they came in. That makes it so easy to find colors that should blend, it doesn't stop me from experimenting with other combos though!

can you explain more of what you mean by this? So you put all the reds together, all the greens? or you grouped them another way?

I see many people are posting about online places but Pearl Paint (on Canal St.) and Utrecht (on W. 23rd) offer a 20% and 10% student/teacher discount, respectively, on Copic Sketch markers which can be applied online if you call with your order number (better yet, BEFORE you order). Also, Utrecht carries nearly all the Copic Originals for the people who are having a hard time finding them.
The Ink Pad (on 8th Ave) carries the Ciao line and even has a 36 marker set at ~$179 (price changes from time to time with specials).
I've found carpediemstore.com to have the best prices and great service. Right now the Sketch markers are $4.25 for the single markers and the Ciao 36 sets are $115.83. Shipping is free w/an $80 marker order, and turn around time is very fast. I've found them to give outstanding service. So far, I haven't found a lower price......
I just ordered from a Cdn. site called Paperworks, $6.50 a marker. This is Cdn. dollars. If you spend more than $100, free shipping. If you order 15 markers you get a free one and she has a 5% program. She calls it an emergency scrap fund. You can add up your 5% savings for a big purchase or use it each time.
I've ordered from Oozaks. $4.25 for Sketch. Shipping was $25 + $9 duty. That was for about 45 markers.
I've also ordered from DickBlick, $4.87 a marker, $25 shipping, for about another 45 markers.
I just placed an order to 7 Kids College fund, markers @ $4.87 and shipping the same as above.
These are US dollars.
I think if you're ordering from the US to Canada that's pretty much the least you'll see for shipping.
ritzcamera.com has the sets of 36 ciaos for $115 They also sell the individual markers and the otehr styles. I only know the price for the ciao sets since I just ordered one.
If you are going to order $50 or more than Oozak offers free shipping and the Copic Sketch markers are $4.25.
If you only need a few then you can order from www.scrapbookingalley.com. The Sketch markers are $4.87 but they offer free shipping. I got carried away and ordered $58. After I hit submit I realized my error...I could have paid only $4.25 for each at Oozak instead of $4.87. :( Oh well, I'll be more careful next time.
I'm so happy to know that I can order fill-in Copics now with free shipping. I won't be doing any more big orders since I have most of what I need now. The ones I will be ordering are the ones that were out of stock.

I took advantage of Father's Day free shipping offers and got a sketch I had been wanting and loads of light refill inks of the colors I use most, a couple of my markers are going streaky so I can't wait to get them!

Right now you can get $20 off of $100. I just bought 22 sketch markers and they came out to $3.95 each.
Carpe diem is great - as long as you are putting in an order for the minimum shipping - I needed only 3 ciao markers - and the shipping was going to cost me over $11!!!!!!! I just checked out scrapbookingalley.com and got the same 3 markers for under $10 - no tax or shipping charge!!!! SOOOO It pays to check around. ALSO it pays to read the posts here or I never would have even KNOWN about scrapbookingalley.com!!!
This is very helpful information as I contemplate plunging into this new medium! Thanks for all the various sites, I have been checking them out this morning.
