Saturday 9:00 pm EST ~ JAN08VSNP ~ The Eyes Have it! ~ Chat Thread
Title: The Eyes Have it!
Hostess: Kimme (MelenaPrincess)
Keyword: JAN08VSNP
Day/Date: Saturday, January 19th
Time: 9:00 PM EST
During the week I am so busy with my kids, I barely have time to take a shower much less time to look good. So when I get the opportunity to go out, I always make sure to spend a little extra time on my hair and make-up. I don't really use much in the way of foundation, etc, but I always accent my eyes with eyeliner and eye shadow to make them stand out.
My challenge to you is to make the most of your eyes..EYELETS that is. Make a card using eyelets as an accent. You can use as many or as few as you like, as long as they are used on your card.
*** ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 11:00 PM EST ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 20th ***
Uploading Instructions:
*You have 45 minutes to complete this challenge.
*Please remember to put in the correct keyword when uploading your image. If you are using additional keywords, you must separate them with a comma. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
*It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in the chat thread, in case the gallery is being testy.
Here is mine:
Used black, white and gray CS. White for base,
Gray for layer,,,made filmframes out of black using 1 and 1/4 " square punch and a hand punch that makes a funny rectangle- angled filmstrip across gray about 45 degrees--inserted photo of my DH in bottom frame as he is my number one fan. Inserted camera eyelets into upper left and lower right corners of gray. Adhered gray to white. Punched slots across top and inserted black double stitched ribbon loosely so it vaguely resembles film.
Have you guessed by now that another of my loves is Photography.....that is what the c- stands for in my board name. Anyway,,,I just used my CAD for the first time and it won't be the last as I found it very easy to add the eyelets.

Card Sketch Challenge 1-227 done only 396+ to go to be caught up!!!!!
Loved using my cropadile - especially since the kids went to bed just a bit ago. Not my best card ever, but given the cold weather, I'm liking the cheer I know it will bring to whoever I send it. TFL

Glad to hear that you're doing well. Although, your news tipped the scale for me and DH and I are going to "talk" about "not preventing" anymore. Not sure if we're ready or not, but then again when is anyone ever really ready?
How many of these challenges have you been able to complete?
Well - another fun one! I RARELY use my small eyelets. I have gotten so lazy I just use brads now. LOL Or the JUMBO eyelets but honestly...when I started this challenge jumbo eyelets didn't even come into my brain. LOL
Knowing that I have until 11PM tomorrow night, I am going to stop for now so I can spend some quality time with dh (watching a movie). I am (almost) caught up. I will see you ladies tomorrow!
