Holly (Toy) and I are planning a SCS gathering on April 26th and we want you to come!!!
The event will take place in Ransomville, NY. Where is that you ask?? I wondered that too when I found out I was moving here last summer, LOL! It is near Niagara Falls, 10 minutes from the Lewiston Bridge into Canada. An hour and a half from Rochester, half hour from Buffalo, a couple hours from Erie. You get the picture, a reasonable drive from lots of places.
It will be an all day stamping get together and here are the things we do know: we will have a shoebox swap, lunch will be included as part of your registration, there will be great people to meet and lots of fun to be had.
We are polling all this week to see what things you would like to see us have as part of the event. Holly and I are brimming with ideas but want input to make sure we plan a day that is unforgettable!
By next Sunday we hope to have the details mapped out and a formal thread going with registration information.
Check the items in the poll that you would like to see. If there is something you would like and it is not on the poll, throw it out there.
We are so excited for this event and hope you will plan to join us in April!!
tracy i voted ! the main thing i would enjoy is a coloring lesson-if you could plan an hour on this alone i would love it! you 2 are masters at this !
i can't think of any reason i wouldn't be able to make this date. i plan on putting it in my book in INK !
Yeah!! Gayla and Kari you found us!! I am so excited!
Gayla, when I posted the thing about a demo on something it NEVER occurred to me that I should do it, LOL. Holly and I talked about perhaps finding someone to come in and do it, like someone who teaches at the stamp store. I don't know about Holly, but I would have to think about if I had anything to "teach" you.
I was talking to someone at the store yesterday, not about this, and she does classes on alcohol inks. She has attended a Tim Holtz class and could teach us all a thing or two. Not sure if she'd be willing but was a thought.
I am very tempted, kinda, but this is the only niece that does anything crafty --- she scrapbooks (as does her friend). Plus her soon-to-be husband shares many interests with Tony so I don't want to miss the bridal shower.

Keep the ideas coming though!
you and holly could teach us all alot!
i'm very interested in shopping the "other" stores. not michael's, etc.
and who needs to eat when we can chat and stamp.

6hours, 30 minutes (392.17 miles) according to MapQuest.
Might need to pass on this one unless (1) I can convince Tony to go and we spend a few days there and (2) we can get someone to stay in our house to "supervise" my FIL ... or ... be convinced that he will stay someplace else. OR ... all three of us go and the guys spend the day of the event together ... but that's a long car ride for my FIL.
I'll have to think about it ... but not until after Feb 2nd or my brain will explode!

Oh my goodness, you girls could teach us SO MUCH!!!!!! I haven't voted yet, basically because I'd just love anything and everything I'm sure!! Love the idea of another stamping road trip. I checked mapquest too, 3 hours 25 min, 200 miles from Morrisville. What an easy day trip!!
This event is coming about in large part because I so enjoyed the CNY events you ladies have done or attended but since moving, they are too far away for me. It is about time we make something like this available in these parts! It is selfish really, I want to play!! I completely understand if distance keeps you away. We welcome any of you that want to brave it however and for those considering making it a trip, the area is full of great places to visit. psst....Ikea in Canada is only about an hours drive!!
Well, it's almost 4 hours away. That alone will not keep me away though. But, I will stay over at least one night if I attend. So, think about carpooling and bunking up ladies!!

That would be really cool! I know I will be there in April, just not sure of the dates yet. My sister has asked me to babysit her 4 kids all under 9 years old (yikes!!!) while her and her hubby are at a company sponsored trip in Hawaii. Hopefully I will know the dates pretty quick! I already have plans to meet Emily Block with www.stampingbella.com. I grew up in East Aurora NY which is in Holly's neck of the woods!

The date has been set, that much we know, it will be Saturday, April 26th. That keeps us away from spring break and is far enough into spring that I hope weather is not a factor for travel.
Me too -- I'm thinking one day stamping, one day IKEA!!! What a weekend that would be!! And Canadian IKEA to boot (I think, right?) so it can be even cheaper there!!!!
Sounds like there is quite a bit of interest... should be great!
