Default How do I do this?

Hi!

I would like to show my customers how to decorate a cello bag (filled with candy hearts) but I have a question... How do you get the cardstock to stick to the cello bag? Glue dots mini?

Here is a picture of what I am talking about...

Cute bag of candy. I find staples the best way to hold them together. You can always cover up the staples with an embellishment or foldover of card or paper if you don't want them to show.

Yup, just as Tilly has stated above --

What I do: Fold over the first layer of cardstock and staple thru the cello and to the other side of the cardstock in 2 places.
Then fold another piece of pre-measured cardstock over the stapled one adhering it with my tape gun -

HTH ~ Happy Valentines Day early! ;)

I have also closed the bag flat and used eyelets or brads through all the layers.

I did a demonstration of this kind of project at Michaels a few weeks ago. I used my Crop-a-dile to make the holes (punch holes through both thicknesses of cardstock and cello bag). Then I inserted eyelets then put ribbon through the eyelets and tied in a bow.

I have done the same thing, which Patti has suggested and by using ribbon through the eyelets, it provides opportunity to embelish a little bit more. You can also use "red-sticky-tape" on both sides of the cello bag to secure placement, but just make sure that your topper exceeds the width of the cello bag to allow sticky to "seal" the topper. (Note: If using brads, secure placement on the front of the topper and not through both sides - to hide the prongs. If using eyelets, make sure sticky-tape is not in the way of placement.) Toppers are a great way to add embelishments and/or a message whether gifting or selling. Good luck and have fun!

I do these kinda with dog cookies
i punch 2 holes thru the cardstock and the back and run a ribbon thru and tie in a bow, that way no worries about stray staples in the goodies
