I was curious about snowman soup and the poem that goes with it. What is it and how do you make it. Also does anyone know about candy cane seeds and the poem for them?
Open hot chocolate
Pour into your favorite mug
Add hot water
Stir with candy cane
Find a comfortable chair to sit on,
preferably in front of a window
overlooking a beautiful winter scene
Relax, sip chocolate and forget
about everything else
Note it is highly recommended that
you wear very comfortable clothes
for this relaxing adventure. It also
helps to unplug the telephone, send
the kids out to play, and read an
enjoyable book
oh yeah and...
Use round, red and white peppermint candies - Place in small envelope or baggie.
poem:
I once knew a gardner who knew how to grow
Bright tasty candies, from under the snow
I asked her to share her secret with me
And this is what she replied quite readily
To garden in winter snow is difficult you see
It takes lots of care and a very special seed
Here are a couple seeds to grow your own treats
And you'll soon reap a harvest of
candy cane treats!
okay I know that this is my third post, but there is this one too:
Snowman Soup!
1 package hot chocolate mix
3 Hershey Kisses
10 mini-marshmallows
1 candy cane
Place in a small ziplock bag or in a new mug.
Attach this poem:
Was told you've been real good this year
Always glad to hear it
With freezing weather drawing near
You'll need to warm the spirit
So here's a little Snowman Soup
Complete with stirring stick
Just add hot water, sip it slow
It's sure to do the trick!

This is the poem that I have used in class last year and it was a big hit!
And instead of marshmellows.... I used a SNOWMAN PEEP!!

Mine is very similar to this except for the last two lines...I use the cocoa packet, 5 mini marshmallows, 3 kisses (1 each of green, silver and red) and a candy cane.

I've even added a kiss or two,
and a Merry Christmas just for you!
