WT132 - A Basic Challenge
The new Basic Gray...don't you just love it?! A gorgeous rich charcoal color! But...how often do you actually use it?! This week for the ways to use it challenge...lets find ways to use Basic Gray or another other great charcoal gray color. If you don't own this color...use Bazzill cardstock or another brand. You can also find some patterned paper with a dark gray in it and use that. Now just to clarify...the challenge is not to use "Basic Grey" from the Basic Grey company...well...you can use it as long as there is some charcoal color worked into your design. Make a card, make an altered item, make a layout...whatever you wish! Just have some fun!
Quick flash back...the very first Ways to Use it Challenge was Going Gray! I still think I need to find some ways to use that!
Please remember to put WT132 in your keywords section and post a link back here. We all can't wait to see your ideas! If you are new, please feel free to jump right in. All are welcome as are people with all levels of experience. The challenges are to get you stamping and have some fun! If you wish to share a sample you have already made, please limit it to one and make sure you create something new as well.
Some samples...
nietstamper - Wishes for You
shelart - Sympathy Card
My sample: Happily Ever After

Happy Thursday! Have fun with the challenge!

I just used Basic Gray for my Sketch challenge yesterday. I needed it for a 60th birthday card and it was great with the black!

Oh darn! I didn't order it. I am not much of a grey/black user. Had the same black CS for over a year and a half...lol
After seeing cards with the basic grey though, I'll be adding it to my next order!
I'll be back later to comment on all the cards!

Hmmm... I don't have any Basic Gray ink or cardstock, but I did just buy a Palette charcoal inkpad. Time to do some experimenting. Great challenge Julia!

Is it ok if I use Going Gray? Maybe if I distress it and dirty it up a bit with black ink it will look like Basic Gray.
Cuz I dont have a charcol Gray.

Since it sounds like a lot of folks don't have this color I'm posting a card I previously posted using Basic Gray... then off to work on a new sample! Also, don't deprive yourselves any longer- you really need basic gray- it is gogeous with almost anything!

Here's a card I posted a couple weeks ago, first using Basic Gray. I got a couple sheets from my Demo to see how I would like it and it will definitely be on my next order! Have a Christmas card in progress using Basic Gray but won't be able to finish that and post it until later today. But for now here's my first Basic Gray card. TFL
