THIS WEEK:

Normally the challenge request you to follow the posted layout but this week the request is to follow the card design, keep the topper at the top of the card but you design your layout. Let’s fill the gallery with ideas for the tent topper!

Put tent topper in your keywords line for the gallery search please.

Michelle’s main image is on her topper but mine is on the card base with the sentiment on the topper. So there are plenty of ways to create using this card design.

For the A2 (our normal) size envelope:
Cut the cardstock 4.25" x 8.5"
Fold to make a 4.25" square.
Use any shape and size you wish for the topper.
Construct your card (topper to 4.25 square base) so it’s 4.25 X 5.5”; Use an already made card, ruler or envelope as a guide for length.

You can change your card size if you wish.

Michelle Wooderson (the creator of the design)

And a couple more with other topper shapes:

craftess (an oval topper)

Vicky Gould (a circle topper)

My snowflake sets about 1/8” higher than the topper so from the bottom of the card to the tip of the snowflake the card measures 5.5”.

Thanks Michelle for the design, this was fun to work with!

Here's my card

Yes it does, read the directions carefully and believe me it is very easy to assemble!

Question A little confused...

I understand the basic sketch for these cards. My question is would they fit in the standard envelope or would you need a much bigger envelope? The topper doesn't fold or move, does it?
Sorry for my after midnight confusion.

I have been needing a nudge to try this also, so many ideas. I'll decide tomorrow, I might have to make a few with different shapes.

That's okay, I changed it to larger red letters because it's so easy to miss at the regular size.
Have fun!

I just did one of these at my class last week...I'll try to post it tomorrow. I told my attendees to lay the bottom of the card on the SU! grided work paper at 5 1/2 and make sure the top didn't extend past the 0.
