Default Charities that accept cards? *merged*

Hi Ladies-

There are so many wonderful threads out here that list a request here and there for card donations, but I was wondering if we could start one that kept a nice list of where people could donate cards. I think I have decided against becoming and SU demo, but still want to feel like I am contributing and doing something in addition to raising my children, so I have decided to try to make cards to donate. Having a master list would be so great!!!

Thanks.

Soory, for the mini hijack, but I've just got to say that when I read the title, I thought that you were looking for info on charties that accept CREDIT cards, rather than hand stamped cards! I was wondering why you wanted to know about charging your charitable donations.

Now back to your regularly scheduled request.........................

Default Charities that accept stamped cards?

Hi Ladies-

Just a repost of the question that I posted a few minutes ago that might have been confusing...

I am looking to make a master list of places that accept hand stamped cards...troops, cancer patients, etc. Anything you can add would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Thanks for pointing that out. I just started a new thread that hopefully is a little bit clearer. I hope to get lots of responses!

Whenever I host a swap I do a plus one for my local Assisted Living... they LOVE them! They use them in the "bingo store" and residents can trade their "bingo bucks" for them... and then some they give to residents (from staff) who have no families. The residents keep them hanging in their rooms FOREVER! Oh and I give the Activity staff my old card fronts... they use them to embellish their announcement/cork-boards. They especially love the seasonal themed card fronts.

Great thread idea!

I've donated them to the local Ronald McDonald House before.
