I have no coasters here! I ALMOST bought some the other day too!! :( Well, it could be an excuse to go shopping...I will try to play if I can!!! Can't wait to see y'alls work!!!
Oh I've been wanting to do something with coasters for a long time but I don't have any and didn't even know where to get them.
Since I'm off to my physio app't anyways, I guess I'll just keep drooling over all the wonderful creations I see here. Thanks for the great challenge Julia.
I don't have a single coaster and no store close - but I have chipboard I planned to use in the cuttlebug then was not brave enough. I see Julia embossed the coaster. I need to figure out if two B plates are used - seems like it would be too thick.
I did use two B plates. It is slow going...just don't force it but it does work. I wrote about it on my blog.

Thanks. I will check there. Actually, one of my B plates split in 2 the other day - The cuts were not going completely through so I added a piece of cs for a shim - must have been too much. Maybe I can use the 1/2 plate with small dies - no loss if it breaks again!
Sorry for the hijack.
I had some sitting in my drawer that Jenn Balcer threw in my bag as we left the SCS dinner in Houston. So thanks Kim Son restaurant!
(but man was it a pain to cut a circle out of the middle!!! )
This was a very involved card. It's so much neater IRL as the back of the fishbowl is done with Heated Pearls and it's 3D as I popped the fish out so it kinda pushes out the acetate......Anyhow I rattle on....super challenge and I had a terrific time. ~~~~Thanks for looking!
I'm not sure what happened to my ability to do a speedy card... I think this one took about 3 hours... yikes! No wonder my house is chaos! Here's my coaster friend.
Thanks for the "push" Julia... I picked up some coasters at Chili's or TGIF several months ago. This will give me something to think about at work today! Will play this week.
I had uploaded a different card today already since I didnt have any coasters..but checking back I saw a lot of people improvised....so here is my cute and quick improvised coaster card:
I just got some from the $1 bin at Micheals. They have pictures on them but I thought I could cover them with DP. I've never used coasters before so thanks for the challenge, Julia. Will have to do this after work.
What does "just" mean in this post? How long ago did you buy them at M's? Where in the store are they located, and are they a reasonable price? Can you tell I'm thinkin' about makin' a run???
Can we make faux coasters out of good heavy cardboard we have if we don't have any? I've never played with coasters but am sure willing to try it if I can improvise.
Hello everyone, I have nevered done a challange before, I always lurk, but I have taken cereal boxes and cut them into 4x4 squares, if they are still to flimsy then I glue two squares together to make them stiffer. I hope that this helps the people that does not have any coasters to play today.
