WT111 - Clearly Fun
This week it is time for anothe WT rerun! Today the Way's to Use it Challenge is to find ways to use Transparencies or Acetate sheets. Many of you have these from Stampin Up but if you do not have any on hand, I just use transparency sheets from Staples Business Depot. you can even steal the acetate liner from some packaging you may have...nothing wrong with recyling!
Tansparencies are great for layering, for windows, shadow boxes, smackin acetate and many other ideas! I can't wait to see what you all come up with!
Please remember to put WT111 in your keywords section and post a link back here so that we can all see your designs. If you wish to link a previous design, please limit it to one and make sure you make another design as well. The challenges are all about getting you to try something new! So get stamping!
Examples:
Trudee - Glittered Flowers
Julia - True Friend
Have a fabulous day and happy stamping!

Your title is right -- using transparencies is Clearly Fun! I actually used a transparency yesterday in the sketch challenge. I will definitely do something when I get home from work tonight. Thanks, Julia -- this will be FUN!

Ooh, I made it to the first page! I did an ATC for a swap using acetate about a month ago. Here it is:
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...0&ppuser=88703
I'll have to do more with acetate later today or maybe tomorrow. It's my youngest DD's 5th birthday and my day to volunteer at my local crisis pregnancy center.
Thanks, Julia, for the challenge!

Oh, great challenge! I recently designed a clear card for my upcoming stamp a stack and fell in love with the look of acetate!! Here's the link:
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...0&ppuser=46905
I hope to get the chance to make some more soon. We're having a garage sale this afternoon and tomorrow though, so it may be a few days before I can actually play again... <sob>

Well here is my submission! I am on a pink roll this week after CC112, and wanted to make more cards to send RAKS. This one is a little shaker card, using a window sheet and pink ribbon confetti.
Clearly Hope
Thanks for looking! The picture is slightly fuzzy because it's early here and I don't have any good natural light yet!
Great challenge, Julia! I don't use window sheets very often -- I just don't think of it! Thanks!

I love transparencies! Here's one I did this past weekend using a sketch from Lauren's (mytime) blog. Her card had used a clear slide and I tried to mimic it with a transparency and white Stazon... TFL! And thanks for a fun challenge! I'll try to get something else done for it too!

I just made tihis card last week for Jen's Limited Supply Challenge.
I stamped the grasshopper with Olive stazon on acetate then I flipped it over (after the 1st one was dry) & stamped another grasshopper so that they are facing each other. This is an anniversary card for DH.

Hope to be able to come up with another one later. Thanks for the challenge Julia!

Ann, you don't have to stamp ON the transparency. You can use it for a window, or do smackin acetate, etc.
Very cool challenge, Julia. Thanks.

Great challenge. I've only used transparencies for the front of fishbowls for my very punny fish stamp. So, I guess my personal challenge is to use the transparency for something different!

Ann/Dental Diva,
If you have heatproof overhead transparencies, you might be able to emboss on your acetate. I know the transparencies that go through printers and photocopiers get pretty hot. Might be worth doing a test run - just be careful!
Julia, great challenge! I hope to play this one. I love using acetate and this is a good excuse.

I used transparency to make this shaker card a while back...I must say I had a hard time finding it I had to go to Office Depot and get it over the counter...TFL!

Thanks for the challenge, Julia! I've been avoiding transparencies since I retired from teaching, but I knew right where to find them when the challenge came up today!
