Now this is exactly the kind of info I signed on to this for! I do use what I have for scrapbooking and cards, and it turns out that I've been wanting Mini Monograms, too!

Now I need to know--what is a good/reasonable price to pay for replacement mats?

Mini Monograms also has a scallop circle!! I use it on my cards ALL the time. There go those caps again. ;)

Kathy, do you think the bundle will go lower?? I got mine for $159 last month. I bet they will go down. Either way, it is so worth the money!

Maybe after the cart come out separately and the exclusive is over then they'll sell it for less.

The big shows are in Apr & Aug. Then they sparingly tell you when they are releasing it. You'll get better info on the Cricut Message boards for what is going on. They keep really up on the Cricut

Just found out today that they are coming out with a new Christmas cart in December that is supposed to be more elegant and not cutesy.

Ladies, I need your help! Actually, I should just find a 12-step program, but that would imply quitting crafting....

You know that Michael's sale that started yesterday? The $49 cartridges? Well, I wandered the store for an hour or more with THREE in my basket trying to figure out which ONE to get. Paper Pups, Disney alphabet, Zoobaloo. When my legs started to give out, I decided (reasonably, I thought) to just get all three and make up my mind at home. ALL THREE!

<sigh> Can anyone give me some plusses and minuses on these?

Hi Betsy!! I am so thrilled you are on this thread!! Bitten by the bug??

Okay, I don't know much about Paper Pups but if you have pets or like doggie images that one is great. You can't go wrong with Zooballoo because it is has an alphabet and shapes. I have the Disney font and love it but it is very chunky! What are you using that one for? It is perfect for scrapbooking but I think it is a little large for cards.

Did any of that help??? Good luck with your decisions!

Awesome news!! I have the Christmas one but if they get it out early enough I will get the new one! I think a more elegant one will be well received since the one they have now is very cutsey.

Rumor is that it won't be out until December. Maybe they will have an early release like they have the others. Crossing my fingers.

Do I really need anymore carts??? I have 21 now and will have 25 when I get my Expression. But..... I had over 500 SU sets at one time and I didn't think that was a problem.

Zooballoo is my *favorite*!! It is SO versatile. You get an alpha - both upper and lower - along with animals, scenes, and layers. Great, great cartridge.

I tried to get rid of some of my carts but could only part with Tear Drop. I still use almost all of the carts I have!! I think I use Paper Dolls the most right now and I love my new Cuttin' Up cartridge, too. That has super fun fonts on it!!

I think I'd better get off the computer today. I have updated my blog, done some tutorials but not much house work. Priorities, priorities!!

I can't get rid of anything!! LOL! I won't get rid of my stamps *or* my carts. Not happening. Love 'em all.

I've not gotten much done, either. I am planning to use my time tonight to create. We'll see!

LOL, see, all these reasons are what ran through my mind at Michaels...when I met my dh he had three cocker spaniels..they were his family. Since them we've had two more dogs, too. So, between cards for him and scrapbooking (they used to be our "babies," so they got their pictures taken a lot!), I NEED the Paper Pups, see?

And the Zoobaloo, well, it DOES have fonts AND shapes, so the versatility is a necessary asset...isn't it? And then the Mickey alpha...we took a trip to Disneyland when my boy was 4 years old. DH won an all-expense trip package through work, and we have tons of pictures...definitely plan on scrapping that.

So, really, I'm having trouble coming up with a single reason to take any of them back..... this will make about 9 cartridges for me, I think.

I agree with Shell! Keep them all. I guess we should have suggested that in the first place, right? What's wrong with us today. YOU NEED ALL THE CARTS!! There, does that help any???

I would keep the three if you have plans for using them just because 2 of them for sure are getting discontinued. PP & ZOO. SO if you have to go with 1 I'ld choose ZOO because of the fonts and Pets. I've learned that if you are having a hard time you should just get it because it is going to nag at you until you do. The only other thing is to convince a friend you her to get a cricut and then you both buy different carts and share. Sharing doesnt work for me. Not because I dont share well, but because when I loan something out the one I want is always somewhere else. And I cant run and get it at Midnight KWIM!

Robyn I love the idea of the christmas cart. I am debating getting Christmas cheer before its gone. too many choices to be made. I might just have to pay Shell to cut out shapes with hers for me!;)

Just got back from Michael's and got Doodlecharms. It's got lots of holiday dies on it and I thought it would come in handy. I've decided to hold off on the Paper Dolls and put it on my Christmas list. I just started this "collection" about a month ago. I'm afraid I'll never catch up...I've got 5.

Heres the card I made. I used WIMG and George.

I cut the flower(5") and circles(1&2") with george and the leaves#1 & #2 (2 1/2")#1 with shadow blockout on, using WIMG.
I added texture using two Embossing folders in my CB.
I have some additional pictures for my blog. I'll post tomorrow(midnight) 9/18/07.

Yep GirlsCamp, Family Camp, Getting ready for school and then surgery on my finger. That about covers the last 6 weeks. Now I can use them regularly again. Had to dust him a bit though, That's never happened before:rolleyes:

Default Cricut for sale

It is gently used but still in excellent working condition. I will pack it in original packaging to mail. It will include a cutting blade and a slightly used pad. No cartridge.

If you are interested please e-mail me.

In the early days of the E-bug there was a srvey on cricut .com about if people would purchase it separately. Dont know if it will ever happen. It hasnt happened with george and I know people with the Ebug should want that, we can only keep our fingers crossed and wait... And if an affrodable onebecomes available you better hope you find it before ME!;)

You can get Accent Essential, Plantin' Schoolbook, & George by themselves at www.customcrops.com. The AE is VERY expensive but the other two are reasonable if you don't have them already.
