TLC111 - Reverse Masking
This week we are going to do Reverse Masking.
Here is an example from Lynn/allee. See how the box has all the fun hearts and ladybugs stamped on it? She did that using this technique. Isn't that fun?
Here is another by Rachelhope13. The main panel is stamped with a reverse mask, and the last stem on the lower left is stamped without the mask, adding a lot of dimension to her card.
Here is Beate's Tutorial.
More information from Lynn/allee in this thread.
When you upload, please choose the "Masking-Reverse" category under Techniques (rather than the main stamp set) since this technique is listed under our Resources page and use the keyword TLC111.
My kids are home today so we will be taking turns with the computer! If you have questions, it may be a while til I can answer them. Hopefully someone else will have the answers.
Have fun!

I have been wanting to try this technique for ages and this may just be the push that I need. If I finish off with the wedding invitations tonight (crossing my fingers), I will give this technique a shot. In the meantime, I will steal some time here at work and peek at everybody's creations.

Oh boy! I have a great idea for this one, but I have to wait until I get home from work this afternoon. Maybe I'll wait until tomorrow and combine it with the color challenge.

ROFL - here's one I did a little bit ago. I had no idea what the technique was called! I was more focused on the frame - I guess I have to go and scour Beate's tutorials (I thought I was being so clever and original ) It was fun - hopefully I will be able to make another today... I edited the photo to add the technique and keyword, so approval is still pending.

p.s. how do you guys post your links so they show as your card title instead of the http address?

I too like this technique -- but I've always used it for representational things (like jelly beans in a bag for bugs in a jar), I'm going to try something more abstract like Beate's tutorial! Thanks for the challenge.

Oh my, Beth! I remember viewing Beate's tutorial when it originally posted but never tried the technique. Loved it then and I am excited to try the challenge! Thanks for offering!
