WT103 Material Girl
This week the Way's to Use it Challenge was suggested by Trudee.....this week find Way's to Use FABRIC in your work. The material, sewing, stitching influence is so big in crafting right now and you know how I love to stitch so I thought that it would be a great challenge!
Now just hold on a second...I can hear some of the groans! LOL There are so many ideas I can think of that would be fun...you just need a little challenge... What about stamping on fabric, stitched fabric, fabric covered journals....What about felt, burlap, twill, denim....all fabrics with lots of possibitlies? If you really can't get past the fabric thing...what about faux linen or other faux techniques. You know what an easy-going gal I am....always want everyone to be able to play in my sandbox! So think up some fun ideas and play along. You have all week, upload as many new creations as you wish but above all, have fun! You might just find some "material" assets!
Please remember to put WT103 in your keywords section and post a link back here so that we can all see your work.
Here are a few samples to get you started...

Great idea!! But since I didn't bring any of my TONS of fabric with me to Germany I'll have to go faux...at least to start off until I can get to a store to buy some fabric!! LOL!!
Thanks for the fun ideas!

This will certainly be a challenge. I am not one to hoard fabric! I am looking forward to seeing what this talented group of ladies comes up with.

Does sewing an Easter dress today count? Can I do faux stamping on it? lol
Great challenge. We'll see if I can get to it after I do some "real" sewing!

COOL!! I stamped on fabric for my artisan award entry. Do you think it's OK to post it today, or do I need to wait until the end of the month?

Wow! This is totally MY kind of challenge! The very first swap I was ever in, I used fabric on my card. Here's a more recent one from my gallery, where I stamped on silk with craft ink: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...0&ppuser=43494
and here's one stamped on leather with stazon: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...0&ppuser=43494
I will definitely make at least one new card. Where would a quilter be without a HUGE stash of fabric?!!
Thanks, Julia.

I'm sure there will be some fantastic cards today. Just wanted to give a hint; I ordered a package of ribbons from "Really Reasonable Ribbon" and it included some torn fabric which can be used to tie a nice bow around a card; so if you tear a thin strip of fabric it would make a neat bow. Looking forward to seeing everyone's great creations.

Here it is. Boy am I rusty. Anyway thank Julia for sending me down to my laundry/sewing room. What did I find there besides this fabric. Tons of Laundry, and fabric to sew my DD's bedroom curtains. Did that ever take the stampin wind out of my sails. Oh well, the girls don't need curtains do they!

Great challenge Julia.
I use to have tons of fabric, being a quilter, but I OD on quilting and turned to stampin' and scrappin'. I couldn't afford both so I had a friend sell all my fabric and bought SU stuff. I found a scrap of this burgundy taffitia stuff. Not sure why I had it but I've used it before as ribbon.
Here's my card. Thanks so much for lookin' Happy stampin"

FABRIC??? What's that - as I said in my description, that denotes sewing and we don't do that in this house!!! Anyway, here's my first - have a couple more ideas - now, what can I cut up?

The card I did for yesterday's sketch challenge has faux fabric and stitching. But I think I will try a card with real fabric too. I quilt, therefore I have fabric.

Wal-Mart Christmas Fabric
I am going to go get started on my 10 cards for March, I needed inspiration and now I have it.
I purchased Christmas Fabric at Wal-Mart because I liked the tree design and thought next year I could use it for something. Christmas Cards !
Thanks for the idea I am going to get started.

Oh, I am soooo into this! I have so many ideas running in my head they are banging together and confusing me! I am only capable of about five thoughts at once. I can't wait to play with this one... oh, I already am!!
