THIS WEEK:
This should be an easy layout for everyone
Since many of the players will not have this style punch feel free to create whatever you wish on the top panel. We’re just looking for the angle of the panel this week.

Gallery Submissions
Some directions from Melody the creator of the layout:
If anyone wants an easy way to do the diagonal strip, take a straight piece of card stock that is 5-1/2" long and the width you want the strip. Lay it across your card at the angle you want and glue it down; then turn over and trim off the excess on the ends. (Basically, this requires no figuring of angles, etc. - I don't do math!) If want the strip layered, do the layer before you glue.
Some tips for cutting with visuals in post #2:
To print this layout: - (nc means no color) If you see a small layout click on it or if you see an icon click on the words next to it.
-When the black surround screen appears click only on the layout and a white screen with the layout should appear.
-Right click and click on print from the pop up box or hold down your shift key and P key at the same time.
-Now you're ready to choose print and it should print to actual size of the card depending on your computer.

This one I used for measurements above:
Sunflower card
Pastel Blue
Cutting tips:
Take a piece of cardstock the width of your panel but it doesn’t have to be as long. Decide how far down from the corner you want your panel and mark it. My sunflower card is 2 inches down.
Place the corner of the cardstock and the mark on the cutter edge so the cardstock is at a slant (photo 1). Make your cut.
Decide how wide you want your panel and mark down from each corner.
My sunflower card is 2 ¼ inches wide.
Before you place it on the cutter you will flip the cardstock end over end and sideways. It should be the same width on both ends from the cutter edge (photo 2).
Make your second cut and you're ready to create.[/size]

Ooo, you picked my card! How cool is that! Thanks, Roxie.

Lay it across your card at the angle you want and glue it down; then turn over and trim off the excess on the ends. (Basically, this requires no figuring of angles, etc. - I don't do math!) If want the strip layered, do the layer before you glue.

You are so clever!! Too bad I just finished my card and boy did I fight with that angle since I just had to layer it. Maybe I'll do a second one later. BTW - your original is awesome!! I'll post mine shortly...

OK - here's mine! I decided to combine this challenge with this weeks color challenge and went with a boy theme. Thanks for a great challenge Roxie and I mean challenge. Wish I had read Melody's post before creating my card. I'm please with it even if my angles aren't perfect -

I've been thinking about this card since I saw the sketch before going to bed last night. The design came together almost as I was doing it. Scan is a little dark in the top corner because of the brad.
