Happy Thursday everyone! I find myself neglecting certain colors even though I really like them. This week your challenge is to find Ways to Use Sahara SAnd. I love this color but find myself and others rarely using it. You may be surprised that I am challenging you to use a color, but if you look wayyyyyyy back, you'll find that this challenge actually started with the challenge to use going gray WT01. If you don't have any sahara sand ink or paper, feel free to go with going gray. You are welcome to use any amounts of it...paper, ink or both...just get it on there!
.
Here are some samples from the galleries..
Please remember to put WT95 in your keywords section and post a link back here. Please feel free to make as many new cards as you wish for this challenge and take as much time as you wish.
What inspiring samples! Thanks Julia and Trudee. For some reason I found myself looking at ribbon at Joann's yesterday (I normally just use SU) and was so close to buying an interesting spool of sahara sand colored organdy. Kicking myself now!
Good challenge Julia. I really like SS, although I don't use it too often. Will see what I can come up with.

I just used Sahara Sand for one of the first times the other day on a card for my stamp clubs; It's a shaker card with Like it a Latte, but I can't get to scan and I'm an idiot with my digital camera as far as transferring pics to the computer :( I'm hoping to have time to do something else with this color later - thanks for the great challenge!
missed that the challenge was posted while I was gone..lol. sounds very interesting. I have the paper and the ink, the marker is on my list of to buy. Don't think I have ever used this color before..lol

I tried to go for a soft look but I think it just came out dreary. I realized this was my last sheet of SS too so time to reorder. Not enough to give it another shot today, but at least it got me stamping!
Oh, good challenge, Julia. I don't use mine near enough. My gray is even more neglected. But, before I can play, I have to make sure I have everything ready for my workshop tonite. Hopefully, I will still be able to get to it today. Thanks.
It took some time for me to like SS, but now it's really grown on me! I find that it's really a chamelean (sp?) color - it tends to change how it looks depending on what color you put it with.
Julia, when I read the title of the challenge, I thought you were gonna make us use REAL sand - YUCK! I thought "I'm NOT gonna put sand on a card!". So glad you meant the cardstock/ink!!

Finally stamping!
I haven't stamped for a month, while I was gone for Christmas. I'm back! And I got to try out my new cuddlebug. Thanks DawnL for the reassurance I wasn't breaking it. I like how it turned out. Thanks for looking!
Fun, Fun! I love Sahara Sand! The samples you posted are gorgeous as well! Great inspiration....Can't wait to clean off my table and start playing!!!!!

I just ordered some SS cardstock and am really interested in hearing that it seems to change colors depending on what you're working with. Can't wait to play!
