I've read through the hundreds of posts in the Cuttlebugitis thread, as well as other threads on the boards regarding die-cutting and compatibility between dies and machines.
So, I made up a chart based on the info I found on the boards, and PMs with users that had tried some unique things.
This list is NOT complete. I'll add to it and repost if SCSers have additional findings. Hopefully, someone else will find this as useful as I have.
Enjoy!
IMPORTANT NOTE: To see the lastest version of this chart please visit the DOWNLOADS forum at the following link, and thanks Cat for all your effort!
When using the Fiskars texture plates, is there anything that can be used in place of the tan/black Wizard pads? Can these pads be purchased separately at M's or J's? Thanks.

Wow, I hope I get the CB tonight. I've already gotten some folders and dies and an extra A & B plate in anticipation. I'm going to try to print it out now. I'll be so ready to play. Thank you very much for the time and effort. It's an early Christmas gift.

This is absolutely wonderful!!! Thank you so much for taking the time and effort of putting this together. It is very much appreciated! Happy Holidays to you and your family.
Thanks, that was awesome!!!
Will the CB work with Quikcutz dies??? I have lots of them, so I'd LOVE to be able to use them with my new (tomorrow) CB.
Also, do you have to buy extra plates in order to use it, or can you cut/emboss right out of the box???
Kirsten
Based on what I've read in the Cuttlebugitis thread, Quickutz and Sizzlits use the same plates. Read Here.

I really don't have all the answers. The Cuttlebugitis thread while long has TONS of info, and you should try to read it Plates come with the CB, but you'll have to buy your own dies.
thanks so much for the info! already printed it out and put it on my corkboard! thanks again!
(please disregard all other threads where i asked for help!) :P
Aw, shucks! One of the reasons I like this board so much - you've all made my day
Anybody have any additional info for the chart?
First, thank you so much for compiling this!!!!!!! :-D
Last night I wrote some little notes on the copy I printed out. I have 1 Sissix CutNFold die that I tried. It is a thick die like the regular Sissix Steel rule dies. So there's no way the Plate A will fit. You need to play with these to get the right thickness, because if it is too tight, the lines that are supposed to be scored will end up being cut. I didn't want to buy a crease pad if I could get away without it. LOL. So here's what worked for me.....
To use the Sissix CutNFold Dies......I used Plate B, cardstock, die, and a shim. My shim was 6 thicknesses of cereal box to get it just right for the scored lines.
Can anyone tell me if they no anything about the Big Impressions Starter kit for cuddlebug. I bought it hoping I could use it with the texture plates for the Big Shot and others??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am wondering the same thing. Anyone have any ideas?

The Big Impressions Starter Kit was designed for the Big Shot, and I do know from experience that the clear cutting pads for the Big Shot are just a hair too wide to go through the Cuttlebug, altho the Cuttlebug pads will go through the BS no problem . . .
Since you bought the BISK, and I'm guessing you have a CB from your post, why not try it and see?

So, I've been asking everyone and their sister about the compatibility of the Bug and Revolution dies, and I have an answer that hopefully will help someone else. I LOVE those big dies for that machine, but didn't want to pay for yet another system, so I thought if I could use my bug - GREAT!!!
I tried cereal boxes and kids craft foam, and couldn't come up with the right combo, and then I realized - duh! Use the C plate!!!
SO, just use A, C, Die, CS, and B.
Just thought I'd share!
Well.. I have the QK rev grand alpha abigail.. works great in the bug.. just like any other QK die..
2x2 older QK dies you can cut (ready?) NINE at one time.. .. the Grand dies can be cut too.. i have the arrows and the shortkutz.. they work great.
Contrary to what others have said.. QK dies do not cut chipboard.. unless you count barely as thick as bazzill "chipboard" as real chipboard.. i have been unsuccessful in getting real thick chipboard to cut at all with the QK dies. If anyone else has succeeded due please tell.
Sandwich for QK (regular & Grand) is just like in the book.. block, b, die, cardstock, C..

I heard Cuttlebug dies, which are classified as "wafer" dies by Provo, will indeed cut through chipboard, but hadn't heard anything to the effect that QK dies would. It is too bad they don't, tho . . . QK has some awfully darling dies that I wouldn't mind getting, but I'd rather invest in dies that will cut through everything, as opposed to only card stock, if I can help it. I'm a versatility girl. Hah! ;)
