Oh gosh... I hope I do this right! OK gals... I am new to hostessing; but not new to swapping, and I aim to be the best darn hostess in town!

My GRAND idea is that this is a Swap JUST for Bloggers; and all participants must be CURRENT and ACTIVE bloggers (see definition below). THEN after the swap; we will all post the cards to our respective blogs with links to each others blogs... drum up some link backs, and show some cards off to our customers that might be a bit differant than our usual style. Fun right???!!!

Now again; I am a new hostess; so if you think I am doing something wrong... PLEASE tell me... I WILL NOT be offended! I aim to please!

Name of Swap: Just for Bloggers Valentine Swap!

Description: Valentine themed Card Fronts or FULL "Pocket Notes" cards with matching Envelopes (see Winter Mini). Your VERY BEST work; at least 3 layers and embelishments included (ribbon, buttons, hodgepodge hardware, sewing, brads, eyelets...etc...)

Quantity: 12 +1 (I will be one of the 12... you will get one of yours back, the "Plus One" cards will be donated to a Nursing Facility I volunteer at.)

Vendor products: SU products encouraged for demonstrators, Other Company Design Team members are encouraged to show their stuff!

What makes an "Active Blogger"... In order to qualify to participate you must have had your blog for at least 30 days and/or have at least 20 posts...1/2 of them stamping related. You also must promise to post ALL the swap cards you receive and links to ALL the BLOGS (I will approve all the blogs for appropriate content... so if your blog is more of a personal family blog, or has any adult theme then this is not the swap for you).

UPDATE! I have added a small group for newer bloggers! Please join us!!!! No experience nessesary; just a blog!

When you post the other cards and blog links you can do it all in one post, or in several differant posts... it's up to you. I also ask that you post in this thread when you make the posts so we can all follow along!

Recipe required: Include Swapper's Real Name, SCS Name, Swap Name, Blog title, Blog Address/link, Email address, products and techniques used.... be detailed please as your card recipie may be blogged. (Please do NOT put your name and Recipe on the "Plus One" card; as I will be donating these to a Nursing Facility for residents to send to their loved ones)

Deadlines:
Sign-up date: December 18th, 2006
Postmark date: January 8th, 2007

Mailing instructions Packaging:
Place swap items in a large baggie for waterproof purposes.
Write your real name, SCS name and swap name on a piece of paper and include in the baggie for identification purposes.

Swap Return: Postmarked January 16th, 2007

First Class: Place baggie inside a self-addressed stamped envelope for return mail purposes. The amount of postage on your SASE should be the same amount that it takes to mail to the swap hostess. To insure that enough postage will cover the returned swap items, include additional postage which will be returned if not used.

Priority: Inside your baggie, include a self-addressed priority label and one $4.05 priority stamp. Swap hostesses will provide priority envelope.
Place your baggie and/or SASE envelope inside your mailing envelope and address it to:

Write on the outside of the envelope the name of the swap. If you used any kind of embellishments, it is recommended that you use a padded envelope for mailing purposes.

I have had several emails already from new and/or irregular bloggers who are interested... and ladies I HATE to say no... but I think we need to give the long tern business bloggers a chance first... then if the interest dwindles, or the first group fills up then I will ABSOLUTELY open it up to new bloggers and those of you who want to get a kick start for your blogs! We have only had the swap open for less than 24 hours!

A little warning... If you have slideshow on your blog; you may want to remove it... they just partnered with MySpace, and now they are adding content/images from myspace to slideshows... so there is a potential that those images could end up showing up on your blog! and if you have ever been to myspace, then you know; you do NOT want those pictures on your blog!

hey, yep... the owner of the site had a problem with NO hot water in her house.. she had been offline for a while trying to sort things out! lol! I guess I would too!
We are going to have the "open house" from December 1-4 as far as I know now

Just sent you a PM to join. In the future, another idea might be to swap digital images of the cards. We each create one great card, send the .jpg to the hostess who then send them off to others to post to our blogs!
