Hi Ladies - Ready for another VSN pre-challenge? Then, Let�s Make A Scene! This pre-challenge comes to you from reneejul1. She will be monitoring this thread periodically throughout the week to answer any questions you may have. Julie will also be judging your creations so make sure you submit them in time.
Your challenge is to create a holiday or seasonal scene using stamps from at least 2 different stamp sets, though you can use more than one stamp from each. *Sentiments DO NOT count as part of the scene*; you can add them in addition to the other stamps. Be sure to list the stamp sets you used.
On my first card I created the spring scene by stamping the little girl first. I then added the trees around her to make it look like a hillside. The stamp sets I used were, Summer by the Sea and Lovely as a Tree. With the little cowboy, I first stamped him, and then I added the trees and the gift; I used Cowboy Kid, Fun With Shapes and Flaky Friends. See examples
Now it�s your turn to Make a Scene! I can�t wait to see what you come up with.
Remember, you have 45 minutes to complete your card!
Since this is a special pre-VSN challenge it will be open for ONE WEEK! All submissions must be uploaded by November 10th!!

I was thinking the same thing as I read the description, how funny that it works for Jen's challenge too.
What a fun challenge! Hopefully I will get a chance to play. I just have to say though, whoever did the samples... they are awesome! I ecspecially like the one with Lovely As a Tree. That is my fav. all time set!

Here's mine! Boy, am I going to be tired for my grad class in the morning! But once I thought of this, I had to make it right away. I hope it makes you laugh a little.

Okay Pixie Princess Julie, question - do they have to be SU stamps? You mentioned stamps from two different sets, what if I want to use Non SU stamps, what are the rules for that?
You can use nonSU as well. As long as you are not using stamps that were made to co-ordinate with each other. They should be stamps that you can put together creatively. HTH

Winkin, Blinkin and Nod a favorite bedtime story when I was very young...most of you have probably not heard of this so here it is....
Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod, one night sailed off in a wooden shoe;
Sailed off on a river of crystal light into a sea of dew.
"Where are you going and what do you wish?" the old moon asked the three.
"We've come to fish for the herring fish that live in this beautiful sea.

So all night long their nets they threw to the stars in the twinkling foam.
'Til down from the skies came the wooden shoe bringing the fisherman home.
'Twas all so pretty a sail it seemed as if it could not be.
Some folks say 'twas a dream they dreamed of sailing that misty sea.
But I shall name you the fisherman three - Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod.
Now Winkin' and Blinkin' are two little eyes and Nod is a little head.
And the wooden shoe that sailed the skies is a wee one's trundle bed.
So close your eyes while mother sings of the wonderful sights that be.
And you shall see those beautiful things as you sail on the misty sea,
Where the old shoe rocked the fishermen three - Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod.

Never participated in VSN before, but I have been thinking of trying it out so I thought i'd challenge myself with this one to see if I can hack it. Not totally happy with it, but I think the idea is cute even if the final product needs tweaked a little bit!
Hey there all - only a few days left to get your entry in to my PreVSN challenge! Let's see what you can come up with. The cards, so far, are amazing!!!
