what a fabu day it was!! my dh couldn't contain my excitement going thru the bag of lovely cards you ladies all brought! Thank you so much for doing our stamping too! I cannot wait for the next one either....

side note: who all scrapped/stamped Sat night? i haven't heard from anyone to see how they liked their rooms at the Indigo.
I so hope it was ok, since the people there are so nice and it's so pretty in the lobby

Sarah is scary good at organizing - WOW!!! Everything was so well thought out and executed! Amazing.

P.S. Meg, I am absolutely in love with the your shadowbox blossoms (and kudos to dawn griffiths as well). I had not yet tried one of these. Thank you for showing me that "I can do it" and it wasn't tough at all!

Debbie and I will chat with you privately! The lobby is lovely. The rooms were quaint, yet eclectic. They did as much as they could with a 60s renovated "Travel Lodge", but the lights still dimmed when you used the blow dryer! Ultimately the front desk goofed up our bill when we checked out and it still is not corrected. But, the night manager was unhappy about something and every 15 minutes or so kept coming in the room asking if you were there. She was actually fairly creepy (stalker-like) and bothersome. We finally asked her if there was a problem and she said no - but continued to keep coming back and reminding us that we needed to be cleaned up and gone by midnight (she started this around 9:30...) I actually will be dropping a short note to the GM later today about her behavior. There were only seven of us in total (and four of the girls were gone to dinner for several hours) - we were not loud so I'm not sure what the real issue was!

Just curious... Has anyone tried out their new stamps from the Goodie Bags and/or Door Prizes? If you upload any to SCS, please link 'em here! I'd love to see everyone's creations!

Okay, on that note...I have a dumb question to ask...what's the stuff called that you use to mount the unmounted rubber stamps that we got in the goodie bags? Some of us went to JoAnn's on the way home and they didn't have any......I'm sort of confused as to how to mount the rubber....

This shoebox swap was AWESOME to attend. We (three girlfriends and I) stayed in town at the hotel indigo and scrapbooked/stamped and enjoyed a fabulous dinner at THE MELTING POT! Thank you again everyone for such a great event. We could not stop talking about how much fun we had. Sarah, Please let us know when the next shoebox swap will be, we plan on being there with all our bells and whistles!

Lets wait to get the Gallery folder created before we upload pics... I just PM'ed Jbalcer; she was out of town...

Thnaks all! I am gonna upload some pics on my blog tonight!

Any one have a good shot of me? Or one I can photoshop? I am so unphotogenic and I think my control top hose failed on me 1/2 way through the day... I look like a fashion "don't" in every picture I have... I'd love at least one were I am smiling.

Thanks!

Sarah,

You totally rock! This event was uberorganized! Kudos to the helpers and star stampers. I really want to thank all the participants as well for creating great cards. I met some great ladies and it was a pleasure spending time with them (just wish I had more time to chat)...hmmm maybe next time we could do a true stamp camp - like a two day affair? I'll help any way possible!!!! Thanks again!

All the picture are here (cept the cards... I need some more time for those!)
Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

I don't have specific pictures of the groups; I just walked around snapping away! Hopefully others will add their pics too!

I want to give a GIANT shout out to Tony from Stamper's Sidekick. Not only did he donate awesome prizes; but on a personal note he was so helpful in setting up and just being an overall nice guy. Pretty brave too; one of the few men who even dared to step close!

Thanks for everyone making this day such a great day!! From the welcoming committee and their uber-organization, to the good food, great prizes and ultimately cheerful leader, it was a great day for a newbie like me!!
