For some reason I cant look at these, could you help me? Thanks
The list in the first message of the thread is just a list, not the actual attachments. Look at the next several replies and find the attachments with the little red 'pdf' symbol beside them. Click on these. If you get a blank screen, you need to upgrade your Adobe reader - www.adobe.com - it's free. You need version 7.0 at least.
Thanks so much for doing all this for us, you rock!!! Have a question, I tried to correct the 3 nugget box directions, but can't seem to find the measurements you listed, the wrong one 5 15/16 or the corrected one of 5 5/16 am I missing something???

If you're using the attachments that are here in the thread now, you've got the correct ones. I had one of the moderators delete the attachments that had the incorrect measurements.

What a thoughtful gift for you to give to the special people who donated to the Cure. It will be even more meaningful to each of them coming from someone "who has been there." I'm celebrating this year as a 10 year survivor and I admire that you walked for the cure!

I have been stalking this thread for awhile, and since I was in the "gift making mood" I came back and just downloaded all of them to my hard drive and will copy to a disc, so I will have them all for eternity and beyond!! Thanks so very much for sharing!!
CHRIS !!!O M G !!! I made these about a week ago using the 4 piece box and the Halloween Night paper. Theay are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Sooo easy and wonderful, I made some matching mini notebooks and pens, put them in a cello bag with a trick or treat topper and am giving them to my best customers.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Now I off to make some a little bit bigger for Thanksgiving (I wish we had some cool designer paper) and after that - ON TO CHRISTMAS!!!:p
OMG!!! let the fun begin.. for some reason I have never been able to get my lids to fit.. but I am sure with all of your great information I will be on my way to much chocolate fun.. thanks a bunch!!!
Okay, this should be the last of them! I've had several requests for the measurements for boxes that will hold 9 nuggets per row. Here they are! Any longer and they can't be made from 12x12 paper. Read carefully - some of these pages are shrunken to print on 8.5 by 11 paper for reference, but you'll need to use the printed measurements and 12x12 to actually make them.
Chris,
I'm trying to make the 12 short boxes and I must be doing something wrong. The cover doesn't fit!!! One way the box hangs out and the other way, the cover hangs over. Any suggestions????

Guess what? I'd never made that size IRL yet, either, and I made the exact same mistake on the first try as you did! The problem is that this box is SOOO close to being square, but not quite, that it's really easy to score it backwards on the first piece (the bottom of the box). An easy way to tell if you've scored it correctly is that the scores are symmetric all the way around. If you do it wrong, you'll have a really narrow score on two sides, and a wider one on the other two. Does that help?
The box wasn't the problem.....that worked fine.....but, when I went to score the cover, I could never get it to score so that the box fit inside. HELP!

The measurements are correct, I promise. The one hint that applies to all of these patterns - when gluing the box top (actually a sleeve that slides around the bottom), the small flap goes on the OUTSIDE, not the inside. That's because the large surfaces that's next to the smaller flap is just a smidgen larger than the other.
However, based on the symptoms you described, I still think that you must have gotten the scoring backward on the box bottom.
Thanks Chris, I'll try it again and see what happens. The 8 long one works just fine, so if I can't get the other one to work, I'll use this one. I'm using them for a Holiday workshop and we're doing 'Ho, Ho, Ho'....so, either will work. I truly appreciate your hard work on these and that you have shared them here. I'll let you know how it goes.
DUH!!!! I feel like such an idiot....think I have to go back to school and learn fractions again!!! I was scoring the sleeve at the wrong spot. Don't know why I thought 5/16 was more than 1/2....never was really good at fractions!!! Thanks again....it worked fine once I figured out that I was not a math genius!!!!!
Is there any way that someone who has saved these can email them directly to me. I don't have internet at home right now and my firewall at work is blocking the downloading the files. Please send me a PM and I will send you my email address.
Chris-
I just wanted to thank you, also, for all your hard work and willingness to share these patterns with us! WOW! What a time saver this has been. You said something about being a geek for making all the patterns- well, how about me, who has just downloaded EVERY patterns that you've created?? I think that says geek just as much! ;)
What cardstock do you recommend to make the boxes?
Any card stock will work just fine. I find that designer paper works fine also, at least for the smaller sizes. You may find that it's a bit too flimsy for some of the larger sizes, especially if you use it for the bottom part of the box. Experiment a bit and see what you like!
THANKS TO YOU CHRIS, I am finally going to make my first nugget box! As all the others have said... you did an AWSOME job creating these template for everyone!!!
Are you clicking on the first thread? Because there is nothing attached to the first thread. You need to go to the following threads to find the file you are looking for. They are in Adobe Acrobat so you need to have that download in order to read them. They are awesome. Good luck.
Sandy;)

If nothing at all is happening when you try to open the patterns, be sure that you're not trying to open files in reply #1. There are no files there; just a list of the files that appear LATER in this thread. The actual attachments have little red and white 'pdf' icons in front of the file names.
If you're getting a blank screen when you try to open the patterns, you have two choices:
1. Right click (instead of left click) on a pattern. Then use Save As to save a copy of the pattern to your hard drive. Open the pattern that you've saved.
2. Upgrade your Adobe software. It's free - www.adobe.com - you need version 7.0 at least.
Option 2 is your best bet, since you really need the upgraded version anyway.
Please (everyone) understand that I'm getting over a dozen requests per day to email all of the patterns, and have resorted to cutting and pasting my reply. The solutions above have worked for everyone.
