As I was going through my gallery, I discovered that I'm a ribbon junkie. 37 out of 42 of my cards had ribbon or fiber. Good thing ematson put that ribbon order in!!
Are you a ribbon junkie too?

You mean people make cards WITHOUT ribbon on them?
Yes, ribbon junkie here who has to search through her 20 gallon tub of card ribbons (as this is different than the 20 gallon tub of gift wrapping ribbons) for just the right fiber for each card.

I just happened to find this and had to laugh.
My name is Beth and I am a ribbon junkie. The added bonus is my Mom is a knitter so I get all kinds of fabulous scraps of yarn and fibers from her.
Hmm... Just looked through my gallery. Nope, I'm not.
Only 13/45 cards have ribbon... of course, that jumps to 27/45 if you include cord, hemp (which I used a lot of before I knew how to tie a proper bow), and ric rac (only 1).

Uh, YEAH! Went on a 4 day trip with my hubby, what did I take? RIBBON! No kidding! One of my bags contained 40 rolls of ribbon that didn't fit in my stampin' tote! Wish I could've taken a picture of the Security Guy as he X-Rayed my Ribbon bag! He put it back in 3 times! My hubby just laughed & told the guy, "Some people have a drug or alcohol problem, my wife has a RIBBON addiction!".
Oh, and did I tell you that when I came home, I had MORE ribbon to pack! *wondering* Is there a support group out there, because this SCS one seems to be contributing to the "problem"! LOL

I would have to agree, I also can't hardly make a thing without ribbon! You should see me wrap at Christmas time!!! LOL!
BAD......real BAD!!!! When I saw the first couple of pictures, I said...."Yup, I think she's worse than me". Then I saw the storage tubs and just laughed.
Hi.......my name is Ann.......and I'm a ribaholic.
Here is a 6 step program so you can be a recovering ribaholic.
#1 Don't carry anything in my purse that has purchasing power. (like that would happen!)
#2 Promise not to purchase more ribbon until I have used what I have. (Ha, Ha, Ha.....I have a complex.....it's called "Going to the store" and it's located in my craft room!)
#3 Wear a ribbon around my pinkie to remind me I have enough. (Isn't that like making an alcoholic carry a flask?)
#4 Keeping telling myself that gingham and organza are fabrics not ribbons. (they carry ribbon at the fabric store, right?)
#5 Purchase a rubber stamp anytime I really want ribbon. (Maybe I could live with this one!)
#6 Have a support person who just doesn't get the ribbon thing. (Had DH for years and it doesn't seem to work)
Maybe I'll just give up and order more from Beth!!

Oh oh ... I was hoping nobody would notice! LOL Yup, count me in on this addiction. I have loads but keep buying more. It's not the ribbon that gets expensive - it's going out to buy the different colored cardstock, paper, brads, etc. to MATCH the colors in the ribbon I want to use on the card!!!

Well... yes I am... Wanna see? LOL
*I have purchased even MORE since I took this pic. LOL The stuff on the floor wouldn't fit in any of the 4 drawers. Now, I have more on top and another drawer elsewhere in my room.

Oh, yes! I just can't seem to stop buying it. Whenever there's a sale, I buy it by the armload! It seems there's always one color or pattern or texture that I don't have!

How do you know what you already have when you go shopping?!?!

Fortunately, buying ribbon isn't like buying stamps. If you happen to purchase the same ribbon twice than you just have more to play with.
I'm so glad to see that there are bigger hoarders out there than me. Now I can show my DH the pictures and say....."See, honey, I'm not as bad as you think!"

me too. I love the Reasonable Ribbon ribbon club (but it still doesn't stop me buying more everytime I see a thread about a good ribbon source) ;-) Most of my cards have ribbon.

Wow!!!!!! I thought I had it bad! Not quite there yet....but on my way!
Yes!!! the thing is I have only recently started to put them on my cards...I have a whole closet full (check out my gallery) just waiting to be used but....some of it is soo pretty...what if I need it for something else!!!!! (LOL)
I am starting to get over that though!!! glad I'm not alone!!!

I love the ribbon in the rolling cart. I think I might clean out my rolling cart and do that, at least I would be able to see what I have. Great idea!
Ribbon...what? I so did not go to Michael's the other day and buy 4 packages of assorted American Crafts patterned ribbon. ;) Honestly, it is been a progressive move for me. All of the sudden I HAD to have ribbon. Like a craving. Weird.
