Default Pointillism technique shown on ship?

There was a demo on the SU! Riviera cruise called Pointillism. I've searched on Splitcoast and every where on the Internet but can not find a tutorial on this technique. I do have a few photo samples from the cruise but it doesn't help me much since I didn't get close enough to actually "see" how she did the technique. I can only go by what I heard. This is what I heard:

Use glossy white paper. Using zig zag (up and down like a lie detector test lines) color using one watercolor crayon across your paper. Repeat this with different shades or colors that will blend well together. Remember that yellow and red will make orange, etc. Then take your Aqua Painter and beginning at the top of the stack of these zig zag colors DAB with the tip of your Aqua Painter to blend the colors. This is like 'pointing' the tip and moving the color around which will give you a varied of backgrounds. I think the sample will give you an idea. Remember too that you can start light on the bottom row and get darker in shade as you create more rows. The demo did about 4-5 rows.

After contacting Beate she suggested I post to see if some one has a tutorial, directions, etc.

Thanks for helping me!

Default Patstamps.com - technique not listed?

Hi Lisa! Thank you for your reply. You are the only one that has helped thus far. I went to patstamps.com. I used to be a member a few years. When I viewed the 3rd edition of her newsletter I don't see the technique "pointillism" listed. Where did you actually "see it"? Perhaps you are a member so you can view the techniques? Is that correct?

Thanks for your continued help!
