SU! colors matched to Prismacolor--New Listing
I have collected everything I could find on Prismacolor pencils from this site and have compiled a new Prismacolor comparison chart. This includes the current new PC colors, many of which are better matches.
I do want to make some comments on this collection of colors.
1. I have tried to match HUE as closely as is possible. Sometimes the TINT might vary. (in real english, the color is as close to right as can be found in my 146 colors, but it might be a little bit dark or light)
2. Unfortunately, some colors get discontinued by the makers of PC pencils. One that matters to us is PC1011 Deco Yellow. It has been discontinued, but is the only close match to Barely Banana. I left it on the chart. If you want to try to get close, try PC914 Cream with a little bit of PC915 Lemon Yellow on top of it and blend with the colorless blender. (PC1077)
Attached is a Word document for you to print and color little blotches of your Prismacolors into. Have fun--I did this chart several times before I got it all right!
Edited on 8-10-09 to correct download to include the new in-colors. Then again on 8-11 to fix an error in color name.

I so appreciate your efforts, ( & time ) to make this list. It will really be helpful when I need to make a trip over town to the store. I printed it up on cardstock, and will laminate it too. I'm planning on using it often.

This is awesome, I have already printed it out, colored in the pencils I have and made a list of the ones I need! Thanks so much for sharing. What do you think about the retired colors of Mint Melody, Mauve Mist and Marvelous Magenta?

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! I picked up my 120 pencils plus bonus boxes today and picked up my stumps Friday. Will get my Gamsol next weekend at the Akron OH Adventures in Stamping convention - InkyAntics will be there and I confirmed they will have them Gamsol. I am soooooo excited to work with my pencils. Having the color matches is such a bonus. You are the best - thanks for sharing.
