Rules to Win Prizes for Challenges for Scrapbooking
Okay, without further ado here it is! It's very simple actually. Visit us on Saturday's. All challenges and sketches will be posted by 9:00 AM PST! All you have to do, is do the challenge, upload your creation, and post a link in the challenge or sketch thread. You have 5 days to complete it! All entires MUST be uploaded by the following Thursday night by MIDNIGHT PST. You MUST post the challenge or sketch code in the TITLE and KEYWORDS...that way we know how to find your entry!
The prizes are just our way of generating excitement and interest. This is something that AMY and I are doing, SCS is not offering the prizes, we are. If we feel that enough interest is generated in the thread, we will then put a VSBN (Virtual Scrapbooking Night) into the works. Prizes are only offered for a short period of time. Or until they run out. We are projecting a 4-6 week period that this will be available. If you would like to donate prizes or Priority Stamps for shipping of prizes it is encouraged and very much appreciated. If more prizes and stamps are donated, we can extend the prizes period.
There will be ONE prize awarded every Saturday AM for the previous weeks challenge. Judging will be done by Amy and myself. Judging will be based on who followed the challenge, or sketch the best, and who was the most creative! Therefore if you enter BOTH the Sketch challenge AND the Theme Challenge you have 2 entries towards wining. You may opt to combine the challenges, but you will only be judged once for one entry.
So I think that is about it...if you have any questions just ask us! That is what we are here for!
EDITED TO ADD!! You can ADD whatever you like onto your sketch challenges. Add buttons, different papers, ribbons...whatever you like. You can EVEN add stuff where the sketch doesnt show anything! Just make sure the original Sketch is there, and add whatever you want!
The Theme Challenges DO NOT have to be on a SKETCH Challenge, you can use whatever SKETCH you like...or design your own!
VSBN also sounds a bit scarey to me, but the challenge would be fun. I really have got to learn to stitch so I can post my pages and get more stamps so I can put more stamps into my pages. (working on that one with sellabration) Three months ago I never would have thought of creating a decent card in less than a day. After VSN, I've learned that it is surprising what we can do when pushed. I'd love to participate, but first things first. I have to post for the weekly challenges.

I forgot to add I can donate CM stuff I have gobs and gobs of stickers and I have kind of swayed from them and used more stamps. Want any stickers for prizes?

Thanks so much everyone for your generousity! I think Cindy is going to start a new thread with the prize & donation info with pics of the goodies as we get it! Look for that soon!

Everything sounds great to me!! I'll be here tomorrow morning watching and waiting to see what I need to do!! Lookin' forward to it and I think it would be awesome if you did a VSBN!!! Cool! I work better under pressure anyway instead of being able to go about other things while thinking about it.
I'm a SU! demo and can help out with donation items if you need them. I need a little help on what you might want donated, though. If anything else, I can always send Priority stamps to you. Let me know!

Ok, 1 1/2 hours sounds good. That's a time frame I can deal with. If you decide to do this and need a hostess for a challenge, let me know.
But that doesn't apply to the weekly challenges, that's just what we are tossing around IF we get enough traffic and excitement built up in here to do a VSBN -- so SPREAD THE WORD!!!
We'll offer up hostess spots to everyone to apply for when the time comes!

We will definately post a thread stating that we are looking for a co-ordinator and hostesses!! make sure you watch for it!! If things keep going at this rate, and more people keep playing, then we may be taking to the Mods very soon about a VSBN!! YIPEEEEEE!!!

A question about the weekly challenges (and also the VSBN, if we get one going): Do we have to have photos in our layouts? I'm planning on working on layouts for my not yet here granddaughter's scrapbook, as well as other layouts that it might not be so easy to get my hands on the photos right now.

Naw, just put a temporary piece of white paper on your mats or whatever, and just write on it "Photo will be inserted here" This way if you do not have the photo, or if anyone is not comfortable posting pics, then they can still play! KWIM? GOOD QUESTION!!

You sure can (but remember then you only have one entry to win instead of 2 -- or 4), just put SBSC27 and SBC3 in your keywords. SBSC=Scrapbook Sketch Challenge, SBC=Scrapbook Challenge, just fyi the different acronyms!
Question - Does the challenges have to be Stampin up products only or can we use other companies products as well? I really need to get caught up on my scrapbooking and there are times that I will use my CTMH stamps or anything else that I have collected through the years.
