Here is mine, I dropped the button four times -- yep four times while I was waiting for it to dry. That is why I hardly ever work with Crystal Effects, lol. I combined it with the CAS challenge too.
Location: Fredericksburg, VA, but originally from Scotland!:)

I am not much of a technique person, they intimidate me, but this sounds like so much fun!! I can't wait to try it later today! Thanks Lynn and your sample is beautiful!!
Trying out new things...even the ones that intimidate me is the way that I have learned and grown as a crafter. Sometimes they work out pretty well, other - not so much, but at least I tried and by doing that I know what I liked, what worked, what didn't, and on rare occasion, have had a happy accident where I came up with something quite different. Fear not...

What a fun technique Lynn; I'm sure many of us will play with it some more ... I made square buttons and I think I'd like round better, so I know I'll try that.
here's my card
How do you do it!? You're awesome, and I love the coordinated look with the angel's dress and the buttons!
One question...I went to my local craft store (which is very small) and they didn't have any of the glue you were suggesting we use. So I'll have to shop on line. Any suggestions/brand names?
Many thanks for all you do, and keeping us "challenged!" Chris
Do you have any art supply stores around? You may have better luck finding a book binding type of glue there. Since buttons are so small, you could maybe try Elmers and see if your papers warp. You could always weight them down while the glue dries.

Thanks for the great challenge, I think I'll be doing this one again! And, for the great timing which helped me finish this challenge card before the next one is posted. Here's mine.
Has anyone tried making clear buttons by gluing acetate together? I'm at work so I can't try it....any one feel like experimenting?
Much as I love trying things, I think I'll pass on that. Even my clearest microdots show when I try attaching acetate to card.
It's amazing the difference sanding the edges makes!
Lynn,
I didn't see your challenge thread and created a button this way today. I will have to upload. Although my layered button is on the inside of my card.
Here is an image of the outside of my card. A link to more pictures (on my blog, including a close up and a shot of the inside of the card) is included in the description.
Sweet Little Pumpkin
Inside - outside - it's all good. I can't wait to see your creation...it's bound to be spectacular!

What a great idea! Yesterday was crazy, and today will be too.
I'm going to try to put Mon., Tues., and Wed. challenges together this week.
My post should show up in all 3 by Thursday.

Here is my take on the challenge...I also used the Card Positioning Systems sketch layout for the card. That is also on the JustRite blog for my fourth day of guest blogging!
