Help Me - Cards For Baby Coy

Prayers and RAK request for Preemie in NICU

I am looking to all you wonderful ladies to help me FLOOD the mailbox of an amazing family who is in dire need of Prayer, Strength and Encouragement for their sweet (and amazingly strong willed) Baby Coy.

Coy was born 12/3/07.

He is battling against a disease called NEC, which will infect his GI tract, as well as the fact that he was born weighing 1 lb. 4 oz. He wasn’t due to be born until late March 2008.

He is taking on the biggest battle that he will ever face and my heart is absolutely bleeding albeit amazed at his loving, faith filled parents.

I would love to let them know that they are being prayed for by so many. To help encourage them through their *tough* days would be a great and wonderful thing.

I know they would appreciate the well wishes and possibly even some Thank You cards to give to the hospital staff and/or family and friends.

19 years ago I had a friend whose preemie got this disease and after many months of surgeries and set backs he finally came home and is a bright and healthy young man now.

Prayers and best wishes for Coy and his loving family - hope you get lots of cards - my stuff is in chaos right now but if this thread is still active when I get sorted out I will send them a card.

I just went to their blog! what an amazing testiment of their faith!!! they are such remarkable Christians!! I am going to hold that precious little lamb close in my prayers!! Thanks so much for bringing him to us through SCS God hears us all so the more people that can pray the better!!! Hugs,

Daddy (Chris) had to be a copycat

and he got to hold Coy yesterday, like a baby...

Also, Coy was put on CPAP instead of the ventilator!!! Way to Go sweet baby Coy!!!

he had to have surgery on his eyes for a disease called ROP but is so far doing okay. he had a hard time coming out of the anesthesia but is doing better now.

Coy is now in Level 2 and in a normal baby crib! WOOHOO!!!!! His dr's say he is doing well and talking about "when" not "if" he goes home!

Oh my gosh!! He is getting big. He is adorable! I've read about this family earlier but hadn't kept up with it. Wow... He has done so well!! Keeping this family in my prayers. Oh and congratulations to Level 2!! That's wonderful!! Each step its closer to the door of going home. We have been through the neo natal and PICU with our son when he had heart surgery , so I can relate to the hospital scene. Its a very emotional roller coaster ride with lots of ups and downs. Coy has came along way. When they get him home they can just watch him grow! Also those cowboy boots were stinkin cute!
