We gave her a MP3 player (she wanted an iPod -- yeah, right!), and Chris filled it with all her favorite songs. She's been listening to it non-stop! We also gave her a Taylor Swift Christmas CD. She got some clothes and a jewelry kit from grandparents and godparents.
Saturday we're taking her and a few friends to see Disney's A Christmas Carol.
I told you it's a birthday week!

I guess the short people got paired with the tall people to even the playing field. KJ might have the advantage with her concealed weapon.

Oh gosh Sara I know! I've got a lot going on too, but I'm trying to brainstorm during some down time at work and hopefully I'll get some good scrapping time this weekend. And then last night I kept dreaming about the competition. I dreamt that Monday came around and I still didn't know what I was going to make!

Drink a pumpkin spice banana smoothie. It'll give you waaaay more energy than some dumb coffee or energy shots. Trust me on this one.

Crap, I guess that could qualify as a "tip." Julie is going to smack me around. Forget I said that. Go drink a giant big gulp of mountain dew, and call me in the morning.

Ok, but please be advised that I don't recommend this until AFTER the contest heheh Gotta look out for my girl, Julie!
1/2 can pumpkin
1/2-1 banana (I use frozen chunks)
milk of some variety (about 1/2 -- 1 cup)
lots of pumpkin pie spice
some sort of non-refined sweetener (honey?) to taste
splash of vanilla
blend.
It's all really approximate. You need to keep tasting to get it right. I needed to add way more pumpkin pie spice than I thought I would.
That's a modified version of the one I make. Mine's a little "weirder." I make mine with pumpkin, banana, non-sweetened vanilla hemp milk, about 1/4 c of coconut milk, pumpkin pie spice, stevia, and vanilla. Yesterday I also added about a tablespoon of chia seeds which made it extra creamy and thick (yummy). And I also added a splash of apple cider, which made it AMAZING. I decided at that moment that Starbucks needs to combine their pumpkin spice and caramel apple spice and give me credit.

Don't like nanners? You don't have to put them in... It just bulks it up and makes it thick-ish. You could just sub them with some ice or other fruit. And yes, the cider does cover it up a lot. Don't put a lot of cider in. Literally just a splash, or it will take over the whole drink. But then again, an apple cider smoothie doesn't sound half bad!
I also made pumpkin/banana/pear one day, which was VERY tasty, but I thought the odd grainy texture of the blended pear was a little odd.

well what gives you the energy if you take the nanners out... no the nanners are ok, just not a strong flavor of them.
