I have caught up on my blurfing as of yesterday. Work project kept me very busy and I'm hoping to stamp this weekend again! Wishing you all a great Friday!

No, no new members since Ramona. I think Jeanette thought we were a comment thread.

I promise to get rounding tomorrow! I have been so busy.

If you are so inclined, please read about my friend at http://bandssullivan.blogspot.com You will need a tissue. She is a new mom with a 10 day old baby who just passed away. Needless to say, things have been emotional and busy here as we just had the Japan-based memorial service last night. If you are so inclined, please say a prayer (or keep in your thoughts) for her baby and family. If you are religious, you will really be impacted by her story...I can promise you that.

What a heart wrenching story. This family is in my prayers. TFS!

We had a story like that happen in my daughter's life . . . I can imagine how emotional it has been for you lately.

Her freshman year in high school in biology started out so happily, her young male teacher and his wife were expecting their first baby. The pregnancy and delivery was followed with great interest by the entire class and everyone welcomed baby Jack into this world. But his mom didn't bounce back from the delivery until they discovered that she had pancreatic cancer and the pregnancy had masked its symptoms . . . her teacher told the class in tears one day that he was going to take a leave of absence to stay home and spend every minute possible taking care of his wife and then two weeks later she passed away in her sleep. Considering it was pancreatic cancer, that was a blessing.

Her little son was three months old. . . it is hard to remember the sadness and the grief. But I have to tell you that was seven years ago. As time went on I would catch an occasional glimpse of the biology teacher. And one day, a few years after his wife's death, I saw him buying a dozen roses at the store . . .you don't buy roses for your mother.

He got remarried to a woman who also had lost her husband, and I just saw him again at DQ two weeks ago. He and his wife have a family of four boys, two of hers, his son and one of their own together.

The story you shared is quite touching . . . I'm sure her heart will continue to reach into many lives as more people read her story.

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been so neglectful. I've been posting to my own blog here and there, but hadn't been to everyone elses in a while....so I visited you all this morning! Always an inspiration to do that, thank you.

My hubby had back surgery last week, so he's home for a month! And he's doped up, so he's loopy and driving us a bit crazy, but I guess it's to be expected.

Mom is coming for a visit this week and staying for a couple! I'm so very excited!!!

Baby turned 11 months last week, he'll be a year on Thanksgiving! I can't believe how fast this year has gone.

And my teenager is trying out for track today and a drama play later in the week. Send her some vibes will ya, she's really excited, especially about the play. She's only a Freshman and this is her first year in drama, so I hope she wont be sad if she gets background, it's a learning experience.

As for me...I'm holding in there, I plan to get my Christmas cards done while Mom is here to watch the baby she can't wait.

Have a great week!!!

Hey gals...thanks for the congrats!!! It was a huge (yet welcomed) surprise.

I've been so busy with school and trying to keep on top of blogging that I don't get here too often

@Grace - just saw your signature, "no card's complete w/out one cat hair" - ROTFL!!! My cat totally agrees

Hope everyone is well and I'm going to try to pop in here more often

Hi all! I've been bad about checking in here and getting around to all the blogs but I will be making rounds soon. It's the end of the semester for my son and I have been helping him get papers typed, etc.... Mother's work is never done!
