Hi! I'm in the initial stages of planning a get together with fellow stamping friends here and two other sites. I am planning a weekend retreat for Aug. 2010 at a hotel site in Woodbridge VA. I'm currently submitting price requests for room rates and meeting room reservations. Here are the events I plan on organizing:
*Shoe Box Projects: Each attendee will have the opportunity to participate in one or all of the shoe box projects submitted. Shoe box projects are planned by individual attendees and will have enough materials for 12 participants each, that means if you make a shoe box swap to share, you can participate in 11 others. A complete list of swaps to choose from will be compiled at the retreat location.
*1-2 hour kit classes will be scheduled during the day. Pre-pay for kit and elect to receive it early (mailed to you) or at the retreat.
*All night Stampers: The stamping room will be open for all the late night stampers/chatters.
*Prizes will be awarded daily.
*Stampers will be responsible for their own food arrangements (TONS of restaurants near the hotel)
*Bring your family and vacation in our Nation's Capital (metro to DC is only 20 ish miles away!)
Meeting room fees will be divided by all attendees equally. Room rates will be discounted and reserved (you'll order/pay for your room on the hotels website).
