I have scheduled playtime with my sister Sunday to get her stuff done and my cardfront swap done. I know what cards I am making for the shoebox swaps - I am doing 3 of them. For creativity I have to think of a name tag too, it will be fun to see what everyone does for that.
So excited!

We don't have a lot of specialty stores (believe it is frustrating to me too) in Middletown, NY there is an AC Moore, Michael's and Joann Fabrics all in one strip actually Michaels and AC right next to each other. That's pretty much it. I have googled in the past and Albany has had places. But nothing right close to me.

Is Wurtsboro out of the way Heidi? There's a store there (haven't been yet but I get emails once in awhile). When I find a recent email I'll post the info in this thread so anyone else interested can find it too.
Tony's snoring and there's nothing interetsing on tv so I am going to stamp (after a little more catching up and a cruise through the gallery while drinking my coffee.) Wish I was able to go next weekend but I am looking forward to hearing about it and seeing the goodies!

Well, ladies ...
I'm afraid I have to back out of next week's get-together.
My dear friend, and stamping buddy, Janice, passed away in March and was cremated. She and her husband never discussed where she wanted to be buried, so after her memorial service there was never a burial. Her husband called me today and said he has made arrangements for her commital service next Saturday, the 14th, and asked if I would be there. I know Janice wouldn't want me to miss this SCS event, however she's being buried two hours from where we live and I know the chances of me visiting her gravesite on a regular basis are slim because of the distance.
I have made arrangements with Michele to mail my shoebox project and cardfront swaps to her for the event. I will miss meeting all of you. I hope you have a blast, and I look forward to hearing all about it on this thread.
Thanks, and enjoy!

It was the give thanks top note card that used flower soft - she actually did that for the swap too. So everyone gets one. She was so excited for it to be posted. I was happy for her.

I'm sorry you've lost a stamping buddy. I can't fathom losing any of my stamping buddies. There would be such a hole in my life.
I'm sorry we won't get to play with you but you've got a good reason.

Any chance of getting directions from the Garden State Parkway, or route 80 or whatever major road is nearby? I have no idea where I'm going. I thought Highlands was the Atlantic Highlands and I was heading in the opposite direction.

I did however pick out stamps and get some fun shaped brads to use on these creations! So it's coming....oh and I may be using a stamp set that will be released soon....but who knows

Sure, if you take GSP to Route 287 North then you take exit 52B, Towards Butler, you stay on that for 12.7 miles, then you turn onto Canistear Road (RIGHT) the right is BEFORE the light but IF you get to light and see small Ski Shop with Tee Pee outside then pull into the parking lot and enter out back of the lot and that is Canistear Road you go under a one lane bridge for just a moment just HONK BEFORE entering through that it is about 1/2 a car length so not big. Take to the end about 7 miles, make LEFT at fork in the road and that is breakneck road don't worry you won't break your neck you will see post office on RIGHT and then about 1 block down clubhouse is on your LEFT. It faces the lake.
Hope that helps if you need anything additional let me know.

That's a big help.
We go to crops in Wanaque once inawhile. I guess you're a couple exits past there so it's about an hour and 15 minutes away. Okey, dokey. I pass the word onto my buds as to how much time we need.
I think it might be a good idea if someone gives us a cell phone number. Eileen will probably bring Ramona (her GPS) but you never know. It just might be a good idea to have someone to call in case of who knows what.

Pat has named mine Lulu too, but I think it needs it's OWN name....
Anyway... I have loaded it into my GPS, to be named later, but I could use a street number?? Or is there another name of this place? Or, we'll get close and call?? LOL

Post office, 177 Breakneck Road, Highland Lakes, NJ if you GPS to that you will find the clubhouse it is just one block passed the post office on LEFT. If Post office on LEFT (TURN AROUND)
Call when you are close though that is fine!
