Now why on earth can't my husband get this........I don't mind doing laundry, or folding it but I HATE to put it away. Honestly....hate it. I never even put my clothes away as a child. My mom would bring me my basket and when she was ready to do laundry again I'd have to dump out the clean clothes on the floor and refill it!!!! But my husband hates having to dig through a basket for what he needs....but also won't lift a finger to put any of it away himself!!!

Let's see....all my clothes are put away because I did that (plus 3 weeks of shirts that I hated to hang) last night while the kids were taking their bathes and I do have clean dishes in the dishwasher...my son asked this morning "are the dishes clean or dirty" because he needed a bowl for his oatmeal. It's bad when your 5 year old knows your habits and patterns!!!!

I love my Bic Mark-its!!! I am missing the 'earthy' set and have not broke down and bought a whole new set. Target has the complete 36 marker set for about $20.00.

1. As you read this, is there a load of clean laundry sitting somewhere in your home just waiting to be folded and put away?
Always! Is it sad that I could go at least 3 weeks without doing laundry. I'm really trying to get rid of our clothes so that I have to keep up on my laundry.
2. Do you tend to get clean dishes from the dishwasher and think 'I'll unload it later'? If so, how many clean forks are in your silverware drawer right now?
The kids load and unload the dishwasher. Because we have a large extended family, I have lots of plates etc. So I rarely have to dip into the clean dishwasher. Sometime for a specific cooking utensil, but then again, I have three of everything so that doesn't happen much either.
I've just started back with "Flylady" I have created a schedule that coincides with her "Zones" and everyone has a job every day. I'm hoping that will help us get organized and junked out.
Speaking of which, I need to go and junk out our coat closet. Why 4 people have over 20 coats is beyond me.

Oh gosh Melina, me the most organized, no I think April would win that contest in this group. Yes April I might be a tad guilty for coaxing someone into Bic Markers. Just like your guilty for making me obsessed with Bellas. Hum I wonder who is guilty for making me obsessed with Riley images. One of my new loves is Whiff of Joy. Hum, wonder who got me one of those for my b-day. (wink, wink)

I don't have a sock basket...but I pair socks as I pull them out of the dryer.
Those Whiff Of Joy stamps are pretty darn cute. Just wait until I post on my blog the card I did for my mom's bday which is on Saturday!!!
Yes, I'm guilty with the Bellas but I think it was you that got ME hooked on Rileys!
And in my defense, I have been much more relaxed on my organization and cleanliness since having kids. Especially since Leila. Now it's double the toys and crap everywhere! Okay so not relaxed in my organization (that's a bit of a mental disorder...OCD...LOL) but I have in not constantly cleaning 24/7!

I don't have a sock basket either, they just live unmatch in the pile of clothes.
Whiff of Joy, I don't think I know what they are. I am off to check it out.

Oh Melanie, yes I have a sock basket! It stays in my bedroom. The kids know right where to go if they don't have a pair in their drawer. Ain't that awful? A few years back my MIL dropped in without calling and we were all home. I was sitting on the couch folding clothes and when I would come across a sock I would throw it in that basket. She saw what I was doing and said 'what's this'? When I told her she turned around and looked at my hubby then back at me and said 'give me that basket'! She sat and paired every sock in the basket. We had so many socks I couldn't put them all away. We don't have room for all that we have!!!! She was like 'I've never seen anything like this' Of course, her house is spotless everytime we go even if she doesn't know we're coming. My DH says growing up that's all he remembers her doing is cleaning and cooking. Isn't that sad? I don't want my children to remember me that way. Of course, I don't want them saying I never cleaned either. So, I try and get things done after they go to bed. I want to spend as much time with them as I can before they don't want to spend time with me, you know?
Oh well, there's my 2 cents...for what it's worth.
Oh and April *sticking my tongue out at you* regarding the pairing socks as you take them out of the dryer. hee hee! JK LOL

Yes I know Tracey, Whiff of Joy is totally cute. I personally think they are priced a tad high but I guess they come from international so here in the states they probably have to price them to make it worth stocking them to sell. I sure do love them though.
Yes April your right, I did get your addicted to Riley.
Melina way too funny about the socks. DH just said to me lastnight that I had two baskets of unmatched socks to go through and I said oh no I only have one because I dumped them together the night before. LOL!!! I would say I'm a happy medium person when it comes to keeping house. I keep it clean (I'm a partial clean freak) but tidy is out of my vocabulary until my boys are older and know what picking up their own toys means. I'm the same as most of you, I wait till they crash at night time and then I spend about 20 minutes picking up all the toys and clutter and placing it into baskets and tubs before sitting down on SCS or crafting for the night.
I think most of you know, DH is a pilot so 4 days a week I run the show on my own so my craft time is very important to me for sanity. So if that means there are toys all over the house until the next morning so be it. NOW if their are fuzzies and dog hair that are visable on the rugs or hardwoods I'm pulling out my vaccum all hours of the night.
LOL!!

Hi! I see your chatting about the laundry & dishes questions. I don't have any laundry in washer right now, but do have a load in the dryer. It's been in there since Monday! I fold my clothes, but 1/2 of them don't make it to the dresser. They tend to sit on top of the dresser! LOL
Dishes...I am the dishwasher unfortunately! In fact, I have to do them now but am putting them off for a few more minutes.

Good evening ladies!!! How is everyone??? I am sorry I have been MIA ... as some of you know this year has NOT been a good one for me ... if it is not one thing it is another ... I cannot wait for 2010 ... lol ...
My dad is having open heart surgery next week ... so we have been dealing with the sudden onset of all that ... he needs bypass and a valve replacement ... I understand that this is common nowadays ... but, you see ... my dad is the only one left in my family who "likes" me ... LOL ... who "gets me" so to say ... I don't want anything to happen to him ... I lost my gramps about 8 years ago ... and it still hurts ... he and my dad were best friends ... they are the only ones who listened to me ... ... or even care what I have to say ... my mom and sister are so close and they rub it in my face ... I feel like the black sheep of the family ... lol ...
To top that all off ... hubby has H1N1 ... he just found out yesterday ... and he was with my dad all weekend ... I am PRAYING my dad does not get sick ... ...
So, that is my horrible news for the week ... I want something good to tell you guys once in a while ... just doesn't seem to happen ...
I hope you all have a good night!!!

Kelly...I'm soo sorry about your dad. Mine had OHS when he was only 50. I am very close to my dad so I know exactly what you're going through. If you read the bible I suggest you take it with you to the ICU waiting room (any book/magazine will do but I find the bible more helpful in times like these). The waiting is torture if you don't 'try' and keep yourself occupied.
What day is his surgery and I'll mark it on my calender and pray for him that day. I'll keep my pocket calender on me the entire day to remind me of him.
Now for your hubby...fluids, fluids, fluids! Flush it out of him...hee! I hope he feels better very soon.
Blessings...

Yep, wound up doing an assortment of Thank you cards, a set of Christmas cards, a stationary set with altered pen and the Dasher candle I posted on my blog. I thought that was a good variety instead of making only cards. I can make myself another Dasher candle.

I'll try and get on WOJ website tomorrow and look around. I wouldn't even know what to ask you for. I don't know maybe sending an assortment is better since I don't know their images. Can I let you know tomorrow?
