Default TLC244 Retiform Technique

Happy Monday! With Halloween being this week, I want to be the first to say TRICKS OR TREAT.

Awhile back Cindy, aka Mothermark said that the word Technique sounds so intimidating and she prefers to call them TRICKS because a trick sounds easy. The TREAT is that I get to share with you a trick that I love doing. It is called RETIFORM. I learned it 6 years ago from my good friend Greta Boudeman. The materials list is small and made up of things you probably already have.

Materials:
post it notes
brayer
acrylic block (optional)
3 or 4 ink pads
paper

I have a step by step tutorial on my blog with photos HERE.
***I have music on my blog***
(Just turn down your volume if you don't want to hear it.)

Edited to add: There's also a retiform tutorial on our resources page HERE.

Here is my card for today.
Here are some more samples:
Flubdub
Falling leaves
Retiform and Butterfly

Additonally, to view all of the cards using today's technique, CLICK HERE
to view the TLC244 gallery.

As a reminder, be sure to use the keywords TLC244 and Retiform when you upload your projects.

This is a bit different than I've done before, a little more random, but looks a lot easier. Thanks, Marilyn.

This looks like great fun. I'll try it later today. Meanwhile, if you don't have an acrylic block handy, you can use a window sheet, or even a clear plastic page protector and accomplish the same thing. It's a useful step to distribute the ink evenly on the brayer.

I had so much fun making this card that I ended up retiforming the inside with leftovers on my table. I had done this technique in the past, but only with masking off the whole card, scattering the little post-its like the tutorial is a fun way to do it. Besides, I love anything I can brayer.>^..^<

OK........I'll admit.. I didn't put ALL the groceries away yet........just the refrigerator stuff.
Had to stop and play..........now I have to go finish !! boo hoo.
I don't know what happened to all the DEETS on my card...maybe they'll show up later. I DID put them in.
Had a fun time with this. MotherMark is super. I subscribe to her blog...I LOVE it.
Thanks to both MariLynn and Lynn for a great start to the week !!

CAS Masculine Retiform
For me, this is a case of things that look simple require a lot of practice to also look good...

This was another challenge that I was a little afraid of as I'm not comfortable with a brayer - but that's what a "challenge" is all about! Here's my lighthouse retiform. And here's my folded flower retiform. Thanks for this latest fun technique.
