IFC55: 10/19/09 An Apple a Day
Did you know that October is National Apple Month?
What better time for us to use some of those apple themed products we've been hording! There are three different ways to play this challenge:
•Go through your stash and find any apple patterned papers, apple lace cardstocks, apple embellishments, etc. and use them on your layout. Digi-scrappers: feel free to use your digital patterned papers and elements to play along with the challenge.
OR
•Use one of these apple quotes to inspire your layout. You do not have to use the quote on your page but, you are welcome to.
You will find the quotes HERE
OR
•Use one of the attached Apple color palettes to inspire your next layout. Please note: there are 3 different color palettes to choose from. When you click on the attachment at the bottom, click on next to see the other palettes. Please share with us the name of the palette you chose.
You can use just one of these ideas for your challenge page or you can combine all three or if your feeling really scrappy you can do a page for each one! The most important thing is to be inspired and have fun.
Here is my sample page. I decided to use apple lace cardstock and an apple quote on my page:
Apple of My Eye
Now it's your turn...
Please use the keyword IFC55 when uploading your pages to the gallery. Be sure to come back here and post a reply with a link to your completed page so everyone can leave you some love. And most important...remember to "pass it on". If someone leaves you a comment please make an effort to leave them one too.

I've seen the lace cardstock just Saturday at the shoebox swap I went to and asked if the back was sticky. But it's not...they said to use glue dots to adhere. I was wondering how it looks when used and it looks awesome on your layout. I just did an apple layout not too long ago...not sure I've got any more apple pictures! Will have to look and see. We missed the "bobbing for Apples" event at the Renaissance Faire yesterday or I would have had some good ones!

Terry,
You don't have to use apple pictures if you don't have any. I didn't have any so, I just used apple-themed products. I bet you have something in your digi stash.

I'm not putting this in the IFC gallery, but here is the Apple Page I did for one of the weekly challenges in September. I will look through my digi stash (which is growing considerably faster than the paper one ever did!) to see what else I've got. Especially with the mini VSBN coming up. Maybe I'll use some of the pics I took at the Renaissance Faire this past weekend.

I know I say this every month that I'm done for this month but I just can't stop playing with PSE7 now! Lela really inspired me with her Thursday challenge of scrapping a family portrait and as I was browsing my pics looking for a specific one, I found a pic of my son and daughter at ages 4 and 7 mos that I didn't realize I had! I had downloaded this from a CD of my ex-in-laws 50th wedding anniversary party. Sure brought back memories! Thanks Lela for the inspiration. With the colors I was looking for, Divine Digital's Homegrown Kit had them all AND the patterned paper I used had those apples on it! So it worked for this challenge as well.
