That sale sign for Kitchen Sink stamps... is calling my name!
I have wanted several sets from KS for a while. But I spend so much with SU that I can't. Please remind me that I don't need them. I just placed a fairly large retired list order. Not to mention, the prices are kinda of high even with the 15% sale! The art work is beautiful though!
Sorry to sound like a lunatic, I am trying to ignore the Sale. It's just not working to well!
What are your thoughts on their prices?

I think their stamps are GORGEOUS, and unique and stamp beautifully ... and yes, the large sets are really pricey so if it works out for you, it's smart to take advantage of the sale.
I'm trying hard not to be an enabler Maybe if you can narrow it down to the one you like the absolute MOST! If you've never tried the multi-step stamps, you will be amazed at the images.
On the other hand, she does offer up a sale now and then ~ and I can't imagine her making anything unavailable any time soon ~ so you'll always have another chance!
Personally, I'm *trying* to hold off on anything new for awhile to see what I think of the new SU catalog. I wasn't tempted by the retireds this time - just got one for a stamp camp order (Carte Postale). And I'm resisting the urge to place a Papertrey Ink order... the cart is loaded and I have to "pare down." It's a drag, isn't it?
Whenever you do decide on Kitchen Sink Stamps, I can tell you that Maria is fabulous. I ordered the Easter set with the eggshell and some time later an envelope came in the mail with a little letter and a new eggshell stamp to replace one in the set!! She had decided she just wasn't satisfied with the first one and came up with this one instead. Incredible! And the quality is TOPS!

I'm trying to ignore that sale, too...this thread didnt help me, lolol
The fact that I am kind of scared of the 3-step stamping when I cant even 2-step is really what is keeping me away...for now

No help here...I already own 2 sets (Rose and Daisy) and just ordered 4 more (Hydrangea, Hibiscus, Playful Stars and Swirly Stars). I, too, was afraid of the 3-step stamping, but being able to see through the block and stamp makes it SO much easier! I also found that stamping off once made some of my flowers look more realistic in color.

I just got the hibiscus set and I'm totally blown away by how gorgeous the stamped flowers look! And it's so much easier to align by eye with the clear stamps than using a stampa-ma-jig. My VersaMagic chalk pads are amazing with these polymer stamps - no need to stamp-off since they're soft looking already. Don't worry about how many layers you have to stamp. It's a piece of cake.

OK, these stamps have been calling my name for a long time now - does anyone have details on shipping from them?

I have been trying to ignore this sale too. Budget's really tight now but can you ladies help me out? I can only buy 2-3 sets. Do I buy images or sentiments?? I am trying to decide between these sets.. Hydrangea, Daisy, Rose, Hibiscus, Playful ovals, Playful frames, whole family (sentiments) and Other important people (sentiments).
The only set I have is Never a loss 4 words. TIA!

This wasn't the direction I wanted this thread to go in... where's all the reminders that I don't need these stamps--nah, I'm only kidding, lol! I got exactly what we do best here at SCS-- enable! I'm so proud of all of you, he he!
I am still trying to ignore the sale sign! As soon as my SU order hits my credit card, I'm going to have to explain that one to my dh. He's really great about it, but every now and again he tells me I really should have a budget for all of my crafting stuff. Although he is right, I tend to buy based on opportunity-- clearance, sale, deadline (as in retired list) and well I guess mostly cause I want it. Sometimes I am very good and other times I splurge.
Anyway, I am happy to read wonderful things about KS as a company as well as the beauty of the images... no I do not need them!

That's it... it's not like I could make it easy, and only want 1 set! No, I want 3 (or More) @ $29.95 and other sets too.
I'm still trying to avoid the sale.... does anyone know how much the S&H is?Lol!

FAQ
What are your shipping rates?
(As of 9/25/07) We ship by weight. That way you get a better rate. And if you have placed a big order, we are always willing to ship using USPS flat rate to save you $$$. We are in the process of trying to figure out how to tell you what your shipping is up front. If it turns out that we can ship your items for less than what checkout has listed, we will notify you and send you the extra money back as a refund. Does that seem fair?!

When my WISH list on there got to $200 I backed off and am thinking about it - I need to sort out my wants and needs...

The only thing *bad* about ordering from Kitchen Sink Stamps is that once you get your first set and play with it, you will want them ALL!!! They are so easy to use and line up the layers. The results are amazing!! I've never had to discard a single image!!!
Maria is the absolute best in customer service. Orders ship often on the day of the order. My last order for 2 sets cost $3.75 for shipping.
If your budget only allows for one set, I would go with the roses. They are so classic, versatile, and the simplest to align.

Now, if you ladies get your first Kitchen Sink Stamps, here is another fun thing for you: I have had comments from Maria in my gallery and she even put a card of mine in her store gallery. She's great.

I have to agree! Maria is fabulouse and I love the stamps - and have most of them. Shipping is definitely very reasonable.
All of her Design team members also will comment on your cards in the gallery too. She's also started hosting a monthly contest.
I look forward to August 3rd for the new release!

Silly stampers!! Have you all not yet learned that SCS is the LAST place to go to ask other stampers to tell you NOT to buy stuff?

The sale is through the 25th right?!!
I haven't seen the banner lately, but it's still calling my name... very loudly!! Lol!
I'm going to their site, and see if I can step away from my computer without any stamps!
I'll let you know what I get. Nah, I'll let you know if I'm strong enough to walk away!
