Hi!
When I do these types of cards this time of year I use a snowflake wheel, blue ink and white cardstock for the basic design. Then I stamp "Merry Christmas" on a small piece of white cardstock, add a layer of blue cardstock and attach to the completed snowflake pocket. I use hot chocolate
I'll be making 70 of these style pocket cards some for my children to pass out to teachers and yard supervisors at school and the rest I will pass out at the school where I work. That's why I use the wheels for quick designs. They also make great party favors for open houses, you could also make smaller cards and use flavored, individually wrapped teas. Bigelow has some Gingerbread and Eggnog flavored teas out right now. SU's gingerbread man wheel would be cute used with the gingerbread tea.
Have fun.
Keri - your cards and pouches are just lovely. Very versatile - good all year with your designs, these would work nicely with seed packets or Kool Aid or crystal light in the spring and summer.
okay...i saw this about an hour ago...and got so inspired.
I think I have found my baby announcements! FINALLY.
They will be really easy to make and after she's here All i have to do is type the info print and cut and voila!

Stephanie - these are terrific! :p I'm sure everyone will love them. You might want to think about putting a picture in the pocket with the info. People love pictures.
That baby announcement is so pretty - makes me wish I could re-do mine. I already have them all done to send out - I just need to add a pic to them. Now tho I don't want to send them! Yours is so much cuter!
I have been searching for pocketcard designs for a while now and I think I like this one best! I wish there was a gallery for pocketcard samples...you really have to dig otherwise! I am doing baby announcements for the birth of my son and this one has me excited. Thanks for sharing!
Art is intended to provoke an emotion from a total stranger. If youve succeeded in this, consider yourself an artist. Paper Shanks Blog. Love me or hate me, you are still talking about me
Thanks for sharing the directions. I love the ideas about baby announcements.
I think I'll be using the Pocket Holder directions to put packets of flower seeds into that my DD picked out to for her preschool teacher to go with the clay pot she painted a rainbow on for her end of school gifts.
I copied and pasted Keri's directions and pictures into a word document, hope someone can use this like this. I am going to print it and put it into my folder that I keep for ideas.

BIG thanks to you for creating and sharing the word doc! Just what I was going to do (except I hadn't thought about the sharing part - don't know how to do that yet - I guess I MUST learn, huh???)
ooh this is fab thank you - I have a lovely stamp that says 'to plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow' and have been trying to think of how to make a seed packet holder.
