Default Faux Dry Embossing

Are there any instructions on how to do this technique? I love the look that I am seeing on samples in the gallery and want to try it.

I'm not sure I know what this technique is. Could you post a link to a card? I'd love to help...and find out what it is myself. ;)

Wink

Faux Dry Embossing is something we learned at 2nd session convention this past summer in SLC. They had some great wheel techniques.

Using Rollograph White Ink.... ink wheel before beginning so you have a steady flow of ink (roll on scratch paper to cover entire wheel before beginning). Roll wheel forward over cardstock, without picking the wheel back up wheel backwards over the same area. It gives a really neat impression.
**One of the product tips was to use the Wheel Guide to keep your wheel on the same track for this technique.

Hope this helps!!

Ha, funny you posted this. I was just getting on here to do a search so I can find wording for it for my technique class.

Another way - stamp image with VersaMark on dark cs, then use positioner. Place just a tad up (or down or left or right) and stamp over image in white. I had the best look with Memories white. Juicy pads like pigments don't work as well. They have a tendency to cover the image and that is not what you are after. The VM image stays relatively dark and the white is just around the edge. Most everyone that looked at mine had to touch it they were so sure it was embossed. Try it!!
