Happy Long Weekend to our US friends!

It is so cold, rainy, gray, windy.. just plain ugly here in Minnesota. I hope the weekend where you all are is much nicer!

In about an hour we will be leaving to pick up Sassy's new sister. She is also a peke-a-poo, but supposedly more red, and will be only about 3 pounds. So little. Her current name is Rosie (breeder name) but unsure if we will leave her name as that or not.

I am just waiting on a bit of information from a few sisters and then I will work on assigning names. If you have changes to your survey you are OK to add/delete still. My goal is to have names to you by next weekend (my guess it will be sooner). If you have any requests for sisters (be it someone you have had numerous times and want to be sure you have a new name, etc.) I can tell you this - if you played the last time for the May Day SS Swap you will not be receiving that name.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Who here is a demonstrator for SU, CTMH, AMuse....?

Have a safe and fun and relaxing and... and... and... fantabulous weekend!

Good morning Joan, I want to apologize, I missed the top half of my survey and did not notice until this am. I updated it.

Have an awesome long weekend. I would love to see a pic of sassy's new sister.

Sassy,
enjoy your new family member, and please remember we want to see that precious goodness too!

Here in Kansas we're being blessed by beautiful weather. Mid 80's, light wind, fantastic weather for camping and grillin out. My twins pitched a tent in the front yard to sleep in! lol

Just dropping by to say hello to a happy bunch of peeps. Happy Memorial Day. My baby son Sting-Ray's birthday is tomorrow, he'll be 15. He would just die if knew I called him my baby, lol. We are having a barbecue, I sure hope this weather clears up tomorrow. It is pouring rain right now. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Secret Sister assignments have been made and you all have been sent a PM with their information.

Things to remember:
1. The minimum papercrafting amount is $25 (this does not include mailing costs or if you choose to order your sister online items). Non-papercrafting items (candy, snacks, lotion, candles, handmade item, etc.) are above and beyond the $25.

2. July 15 is the postal date. All Secret Sister packages must be mailed on/before July 15. Please do not mail too early (Last SS Swap some forgot they had received a package due to it being mailed early.)

3. When you do receive your package, please, please, please post at a minimum on this thread that it was received and when you will be back to give a more detailed Thank You. We all wait to hear about the packages sent and the receiver's thoughts.

4. And, when shopping, please pay very close attention to your Secret Sister's wishes. If what you are looking at isn't listed, error on the safe side and don't buy it. We all have put time into our lists.

5. Last - at least for now - if you have questions for your sister, let me know. I will get it for you.

Have fun!
Please stop and say Hi often.
I do post the majority of days a QOTD to help with chatter. They aren't mandatory but many found them interesting the last swap. Answer one, all, or none but please at a minimum check in weekly if not more often.

Yesterday when looking for an image I Googled "Secret Sisters Assigned", selected "Images". When you scroll through the images you will see many of your photos that you use for your SCS image.

My occupation???? Hmmmm good question.
In my past life I owned a Graphic Design Agency where I predominantly did medical package designs. Once I had three children I gave it up to raise them. Once the youngest was about 3 I opened a craft store where I taught classes and sold card making supplies. Then I closed it because we moved to NY state. I taught at two local scrapbooking stores here in NY. Then I was hired for Michaels Arts and Crafts, first to run the classroom, then became the floral designer. I quit there about a year ago. Now I am a stay at home creative spirit. I do some random jobs like making American girl doll outfits for a cheer gym, paint murals on walls for clients, and teach craft classes at Hobby Lobby.

I work for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police better known as RCMP. I work as a Program Manager/Business Analyst for Human Resources, specific to Harassment, Informal Conflict Management, Occupational Health and Safety, and Employee Assistance program. Needless to say I am busy from 6 am to 3 pm everyday and then some. I love my job but it is extremely stressful, my crafting is my life.

First of all, Joan...your newest family member is ADORABLE! I can't even handle how fuzzy and sweet!

Second of all, I am super excited to have my Secret Sister name! Archiver's (my favorite craft store) is having some great sales this weekend, so my SS is lucking out big time!

Third of all, I am a Kindergarten teacher. I have been teaching for two years and truly love it. I'm off today due to a funeral for my best friend's mother, but typically I would be teaching math groups right about now. . I have also taught craft classes at Archiver's until recently when school just became a bigger priority! I love teaching classes and just recently got into Stampin' Up so I think I may become a demonstrator in the Fall.

Lastly, it's almost Friday! Who-hoo!! it is going to be in the low 90s and high 80s this weekend...whew!

Excited to get my sis's list...now I have an excuse to go shopping!

I work as an analyst in the healthcare field. I work remotely. It has it's advantages and disadvantages. I miss the socialization of an office setting but like the flexibility.

My background is accounting and employee benefits administration. Now I am a SAHW. I worried when I left my job that I would get bored. Who has time for boredom! I'm even busier now than before but at least I get to choose what fills my days (at least most of the time)

QOTD - what is your occupation?

I started out my post college work life as a CPA in public accounting. I moved to the private sector after a few years and eventually came to my current company as an accounting manager in the Finance department. I managed the AP, AR and billing departments for a few years, and then became very involved in the systems conversions through Y2K - and ended up moving into the technology department. I now manage the financial systems programming staff, but I keep up my CPA license and still work helping out a CPA friend with tax work on weekends when needed. Plus, I do the accounting for my DH's business - he owns and operates a pet store.
