QOTD... How did you become a paper crafter? Where did you start?

I just have to say I LOVE QOTD!...With that said..

A good friend of mine used to send me and my family homemade birthday cards and homemade Christmas cards and I think I asked her about it and then I looked it up online the company (SU!) that she used and it just opened a whole new world for me. I jumped in with both feet and bought everything I could find.LOL...And to this day I still feel it was the best move I could have ever made. I have made many wonderful people and made several friendships through this wonderful world of crafting.

Good Morning!

I sent out a PM yesterday regarding surveys and from that note I received a few ideas of what you all could do to show you are done completing it:
1. NA after each question
2. Removing the questions from the survey - leaving only those you answered
3. Editing your survey post with a bright-colored, bold statement at the top saying you are done
QOTD? What is your favorite comfort food?

Looks like I need to Pitter Patter and complete my survey!

Good morning,
I keep aging to my survey but will complete today and make it official.

I'm not really sure I have a favorite comfort food. I do like my husbands homemade chicken tortalini soup in winter, and the only hot drink I like is Twinnings Engish breakfast tea. To the point I carry my own tea bags with me to restaurants.

...Late day for me today..just finished my workout on treadmill...gotta hit shower then head to work...

I will finish my survey tonight when I get home...

It is supposed to start snowing some time today...already started in MA yesterday..but I don't understand why we are getting snow when over the weekend it will bein 40s and 50s...LOL..Crazy NE weather...

Comfort Food? Do I have to pick just one? I love, love, love ice cream...but haven't had it in ages since I've been "trying to lose weight" and the boy won't let me buy any of it....ha haha

Pizza is my all time favorite! Could have it everyday if calories were not an issue.

have a great day ladies!

Recently, at my LSS, a lady started telling me about how she looks forward to 3 PM to have her tea for the day. I asked her more. She said it was green tea, using the bags, and just like some look forward to their morning coffee she cannot wait to have her afternoon tea. The next weekend when dh did grocery shopping I had him pick up green tea bags. I think I have tried it 3 times.... I am missing something like should I be adding something to it?

What sort of taste does Twinnings English breakfast tea have? Do you add anything to it? Is it a tea bag? How long do you let it steep?

I only know ice tea.

Morning Sassy!

I love to eat plain M&M's with salted peanuts mixed in a bowl. Once I start I can't stop. So I don't keep it around very much. My last batch I bought my hubby ate all my peanuts, so I just gave the kids my M&M's. It saved me from the calories, lol.

I'm not big on green tea, its ok, but I usually drink black/regular tea.
I think she's getting a big "pick me up" out of her afternoon tea. Most people don't put anything additional into their green tea. lemon maybe, but usually its drunk as is.
Steeping varies, a stronger taste would be to steep for 15 minutes, weaker would be 5 or so minutes.
Hope this helps?

I do drink hot tea in the winter. I've done Lipton Green tea with lemon. Its just not quite as comforting to me as the regular Lipton tea with honey in it.
You could also steep your green tea, put it over ice and drink it cold if you want to try that.

good luck!

Too funny but I bet I would like this as I don't much care for peanut M&Ms but love plain and I like peanuts.

I love hot tea!

I only use tea leaves - not bags.

I have a disfuser - they come in all shapes and sizes. Steeping depends upon preference for strongness. Some of my friends like just a taste - I like TASTE.

I loved flavored teas - I don't do lemon in my tea - I can't stand lemon anything. LOL

When DD went to China back in high school, she brought be back tea - it came in a can and was in little balls.

I love green tea, but it can be bitter if steeped too long, or bland if not steeped long enough. Using tea leaves and not bags makes a huge difference. In Canada, we have a store called Teavana and they sell some really good green teas and tell you how long to steep them. I tend to like Oolong and fruity green teas. I don't put anything in it.

The green tea that is my favorite is Genmaicha or what I called popcorn tea when i was a kid (it has popcorn in it) But I agree it can be bitter if steeped too long, I just make it one cup at a time with loose tea. It's a Japanese green tea variety.

1. I started scrapbooking in high school- I have a great smash book from my senior year. I started stamping in 2004.

2. Comfort food- I can't really say that I go to food for comfort but I can say my favorite bad food is chips and french onion chip dip.

JCI. Finally over the very nasty stomach bug. My favorite comfort food is kettle potato chips (which is not good when you're trying to follow WW) and I started scrapbooking in 1996 when a boy from Northern Ireland spent the summer with us. They asked that we put some type of scrapbook together for the kids to take back with them. We spent a long weekend in Washington, D.C., where we stayed with my SIL. She's just started scrapbooking with Creative Memories. At that time, there were no CM reps in my area, so I made do with what I could find at JoAnns and Walmart. I had such a good time making his book that I started scrapbooking in earnest. I still really enjoy it, tho I've branched out into card making and altering and just about anything paper.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

QOTD - When you are crafting - what is playing in the background?
Usually the kids

QOTD - How did you arrive at your screen name?
Well, I live in NY and I am the Mom of 9 y/o triplets

QOTD... How did you become a paper crafter? Where did you start?
Started out stamping went to a home party and it spiraled out of control from there

QOTD? What is your favorite comfort food?
I'd have to say pizza but I'm not really sure I actually have a comfort food

My survey is updated also

Happy Friday!

Today is the day to finish up your surveys and that this swap will close.

I decided to change how I was going to get the information out to you about your sister(s). Originally I planned to send you the name, survey number, address,, etc. It will go much faster for me to send you the assigned sister and post number that contains her survey. When you ready to mail, PM me for the address. I hope that will work for you all. Also, I am using random number generator to assign sisters. So, if you have someone you prefer not to receive as you have had them before, or there is someone you have always wanted.... just let me know and I will do my best to accommodate

I did receive a PM questioning if the QOTDs are a must to answer. No, not at all. I am posting a QOTD to keep the thread moving and to find out some extra little tidbits about your possible sister. If you only want to say hi, hey, jci or anything you want to say.

QOTD - If you could eliminate one household chore forever, what would it be?

Cleaning The Bathrooms
I have always hated the bathrooms, I always tell my husband if I could, I would just hire someone to clean the bathrooms.
