What do I want to be better at........... hmmmmmmm.... This actually took some thought. I would like to be better at math (just for a short time). I failed almost every math class that I have taken but somehow managed to test out of the math classes I needed at prerequists for the nursing program. I had a friend tutor the heck out of me before i took the placement test. I have to take a clinical math class and I am TERRIFIED!!!! I talked to a counselor about what classes I should take and she suggested chemistry and math.. I kid you not, I almost started crying right there in her office. I do not want to be great at math forever but being good enough to get through school would be amazing!! LOL

I would like to be better at golf. My husband always beats me! Plus, when you suck at golf, it's frustrating! LOL! I would love to learn how to sew on a machine. My husband is the seamstress in this house! LOL!

I want be better at being a mom, I never know if I'm doing the right things and my oldest will be 16. Just terrifies me that he will be out of the house in two years and want him to be ready for it.

I'm getting ready to do my first shopping tomorrow! I can't wait. Why is it more fun sometimes to shop for someone else than it is to shop for myself??? I know it always feels good when the person you sent to raves about their package. With my DH out of work, I have to be careful about my shopping (don't worry, SS, you will still be SPOILED!) With that in mind, JOANN's has 2 coupons for 25% of your SALE and regular purchases in their current flier that's good March 22-24. You can often get the same coupons at their website.

As for what I would like to be better at? I'd like to be better at understanding the computer and the internet. I'm a freelance writer, but I really need much more knowledge of computers, the internet and writing for the internet to get ahead these days. I'm on disability from a back injury in 1992, and 12 surgeries, other health issues and a lot of pain later, I'd like to get back to writing more and earning enough money to take some of the financial burden off my DH. I've tried to teach myself as much as I can, but I still have a lot to learn if I'm going to make it as a writer today.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

First of all, now I want to go to PEI!!! I saw those Anne of Green Gables movies, and it's gorgeous!!! Yep, definitely going to put that on my list.

Second, I know ... it's going to kill me waiting until almost May to mail my SS's package!!! I soooo hate keeping secrets. LMBO

Last, I would LOVE to master actually USING these piles of stamping stuff I'm surrounded by!

Who celebrates St. Patty's Day? Puts on the green even though they have no Irish blood?

Is it too early to mail? I think that is all up to you and your personal circumstances and your time available between now and May 1.

I am looking to put together four SS swaps/year (May, August, November, February). If you have any ideas you would like to see possibly incorporated into future SS swaps, please PM me your ideas.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good, I'm going to mail early then. I guess if she wants to wait, and has a ton of self control she can choose when to open it.

Good morning,

Happy saint Patrick's day. So everyone talking about vacation spots. My favorite one is home for me. I grew up in the Caribbean so those gorgeous vacation spots were taken for granted. Having been away from it for awhile one tends to appreciate it more. Nuff said! Shopping I go.

I am working on my swaps. I don't think I will ever finish. I am having a great time with them.

My favorite vacation spot is Alaska. I have been 3 times and would love to go again.

I know the feeling. I am in the most swaps I have ever been in at one time! I got a lot accomplished this week, but still have about 5 to finish up! Thank goodness I have plenty of time before they are due!

An Alaskan cruise is on my bucket list. My husband really wants to go to the Yukon though....sounds boring to me!

Since I'm Irish Catholic, I celebrate St. Paddy's day! We will be going to a an Irish stew supper at the church with my parents and probably stop for a pint at the new microbrewery before or after!

I will probably mail early...I like to make sure they arrive in plenty of time before the due date. But, I am nowhere near ready to mail!

JCI to say hello! I plan to begin shopping this week for my May Day secret sister.

I haven't read the questions, but I've read some of your replies on this page! My favorite vacation spot is Dallas, TX where my DD lives! There's always something going on in Dallas and surrounding areas. Second favorite place is anywhere there is a stamp/scrap show and/or convention! I've been known to hop on a flight to go craft shopping!

We did the Alaska cruse 2 times. You can also get 1 wk on the Cruse and 1 wk on land and go into the northern area and I worked with someone that did this and she said they stayed in log cabins and saw lots of animals and it pleased her husband. They had enough of the wild and was also comfortable.

Back home after a day of hiking (DH said it's actually "bouldering"?) and whale watching. The whales were absolutely amazing. Frolicking at the top of the water, jumping out, splashing their tails and making a noise that sounded like a gunshot it smacked the water so hard. Then of course breaching. And there were several, including moms with their babies. And they were SO close! (Had to climb down the mountain (okay, maybe it's a hill) to get to the tide pools to watch them from there though.

I'm pretty sure anywhere on the Islands can be considered a mountain, but I'm so jealous! That sounds amazing!

LOL, I was born a witch. I am NOT Wiccan, Wiccan is a religion and not all Wiccans are witch's and not all witch's are wiccan, I DO NOT worship the devil in fact we don't believe in him at all, hell dose not exist for us.. I practice magik But the first rule is "With harm to none, So mote it be" I believe in God and many more and Goddesses.
Witch's do not practice Black magik or rituals involving blood.

So I went through the entire day yesterday thinking it was St. Patrick's Day. I didn't realize it until about 3 AM when I saw the date of the computer and was wondering why it hadn't advanced to the 18th. And to think I don't even like beer much less green beer. I can't blame it on celebrating too early.

Taxes were done yesterday and I cannot believe the amount of money we have to pay. I hope that pot of gold is sitting in my backyard!

If you notice that your SS hasn't checked in lately don't hesitate to PM me. This is the week I start tracking everyone's participation. We don't want to lose anyone.

QOTD: What other swaps are you doing at this time?
