Oh and before I forget....Sisters....At this point, please don't change your wish lists because your Secret Sisters have been shopping Would hate for them to shop and buy you something only for you to have bought it yourself and you end up with a duplicate....
I was looking at cards in the gallery today and saw one made with a Taylored Expressions die cut flower. Very simple but elegant. If you're looking for ideas - maybe you could search in the gallery. Don't know how similar your die cut is but maybe it'd be a jumping place for ideas.
Just a note, this is not a "group" per se, it is a place to sell your things. Most people here at SCS are trusted sellers, but please be aware of anything that sounds just too good to be true!
I've bought and sold on this forum with no bad transactions, but do know that it can happen.
There is a post on the rules as well as some strong hints about selecting gift on PayPal. The strong advise is never do it. And I agree, always identify that you are paying for product, if you have to dispute it you have a record, saying it was a gift you will not be able to dispute it if the person does not send the product.
I've never had a bad experience on the B/S/T forum. But there is always a risk. In general, I'm not spending $100's of dollars...if someone flakes on a $20 sale it isn't going to make/break me. I would definately be more cautious of larger purchases...but mostly these are other regular stampers/scrappers from SCS looking to sell a product they've grown tired of so they can finance a new purchase. It's a great option.
Pamper1 - What style do you find yourself using most often? I actually use my embossing folders more than I do dies. I bought some alphabets and ended up selling them because I never used them. I like the top-note die - for making cards and bag toppers. I like tag dies because they are versatile as well. I want to try one of the flower silohette dies because of samples I've seen here. But a lot of the time, I buy a die because I like it but then never find myself using it. They make a similar 'die cutting' system for quilting (accu-quilt) and I'd love to have one but it is even more expensive and I just doubt I'd use it enough (if my experience with card making/die cutting is an example). I used to have a Sizzix and a Cuttlebug. I got rid of the Sizzix. Just haven't found what works for me yet so curious what is working for you.
I use Cuttlebug folders for background on cards. I have a few die cuts for the cuttlebug also. I may use the big shot for biger things to help my Greatgrandson for school projects. I keep him 2 or 3 days a week while his Mom works.
I have never had a bad experience either, and I have spent up to 100.00 on one purchase. My most recent purchase was twelve embossing folders, some flock, some liquid pearls, some smooch spritz and smooch applicators. The seller was fabulous. Only two of the items I purchased from the above list had been used. It is a great way to stock inventory. I love using embossing folders and I love die cuts. I can't decide which would be more important to me.
sounds like you got a great deal. I am just getting a stock. I am making more cards and learning about ATC cards, I have done one swap. I just did an inch swap. I did not know about 1 and 2 inch cards. I like doing the different ones. I haven't done a 2 inch yet but when I find one I will give it a try.
