Here's a start on my wish list!

Dear Secret Elf,

I've been somewhat NICE this year (not very naughty at all!) So with that in mind, I would love to find some of these goodies in my stocking, or bag, or whatever kind of goody container you want to use!

In no particular order:
Bling
Pearls
Lace
Ribbon
Blending Stumps
Petaloo Flowers
Wooden Embellishments
6x6 or 8x8 Paper Packs
6x6 Textured Cardstock
8 1/2 x 11 Textured Cardstock
Any kind of Mists
flavored coffee (any kind with caffeine!)
Twizzlers
Most of all, I like Surprises

I'm easy to please, so if you my dear elf like it, so will I!

Hugs
Vickie Y

Dear Secret Elf,

I would like to thank you for taking time to look at my wish-list for the holidays. Christmas is so busy and it's nice to take the time to recognize those who "make the magic" happen and feel appreciated. Like you, I will be fulfilling someone else's wish-list and I can't wait! Please, while you are working your elf magic...take extra time for yourself and maybe a nibble or two of special treats!

On the twelfth day of Christmas

Wishlist:

- Flowers blooming
- ______
- Coffee, tea or hot chocolate
- ______
- ______
- Salty Treats for eating
- 6x6 pad of DPaper (Bo Bunny, Graphic 45 etc)
- GOLDEN blings
- Birthday card kits (boy or girl)
- runners (or 1 and 2 refills )
- Stampin Bellas (flowabella, partygirlabella , presentahbella, Uptown Girls, Uptown Girl Posh has a Present)
- Homemade item (maybe a journal or 2014 calendar?)!

Angie, I feel your pain... We are overcomers though!
My older kids live 14-15 hrs away too (and my grandson with my son and DIL).

Hang in there!

After several more leaks and fixes I think we are on the way to a happy home, but it hasn't been without a lot of struggling! I also left a job of 15 years for a different job in a community closer to our new home. It is still a bit for me to drive but I do have more time with my family after work and in the evenings. My oldest daughter lives in another province with her boyfriend so I don't have a lot of chance to see her anymore.

I was just trying to think of the spending amount and the need for 12 packages. So leaving my elf room to improvise. I don't have any local craft shops so have to order everything online. Of course maybe I'm trying to hard to tie my ideas into the song.

Heart My List

Dear Secret Elf,

I was looking all through the house and could not find a thing that came to mind since this little lady has been so blessed from her other swaps, but then with quick start she thought oh my she would love to have Tim Holtz Compass & Airmail embossing folders. Then she thought I would love to have Stampin Up refills of Rose Red, Baked Brown Sugar & Pisticho Pudding. Now this is for all the fun cards she makes her friends & family. The juices just keep getting dried up.
Not even the dogs are stirring while she is writing her list and if they knew their mother was doing another swap & not buying them a new treat, she might be naughty-so we will put on her list she needs a dog bone cookie cutter.
When she went looking on Ebay she found so many ideas that her little brain went crazy for Essie nail polish "Vested Interest, After School Boy Blazer, Mind Your Mittens, The More the Merrie"- Maya Olivia chipboard alphabet-Acrylic Block 7"x2".
She loves the smell of Habrio Gummy bears, Holiday single Reeses shapes, Cornnuts, and banana bread. If you cook.
Then with a start again she found that her love for embossing folders is a problem but she wants more like "Sizzix Textured Leaves, Pattern & Stitches. Honeycomb, Number College, Bicycles Set, Bats & Owls, & Inksplots/Woodplanks.
But wait I hear that little mouse say what about having Stampin Up's "Sketched Birthday-Regarding Dahlias-Backyard Basics or By the SeaShore" oh what fun it is to think this will be under her tree.
She loves to see movies and dream of times gone by so maybe Secret Elf her box will hold "Pitch Perfect-Trouble with the Curve-This is 40-Big Bang Theory Series #1 or Hall Pass. She is not picky and will take used but in good condition.
Did I remember to say that when she is naughty she can be weird. She does not really need ribbon, glitter, eyelets, buttons, or clips.
What else can we say about her but she is funny, smart, cute and silly. Loves to laugh and has a nice DH that loves her sometimes. Her evil twin is named Uwanda. Her 2 dogs love her a lot also because she now works at their dog park and it is large. She brings home a special treat all the time. Life can not be any better. Her DH is a saint because he let's her have her own craft room-yes Secret Elf her own room. But remember if life gets you down this holiday season she can be very forgiving.

Joyce...I think if you list it, your SS will figure it out! I didn't want to say "12 colored pencils" b'cuz that can be expensive. So I just listed 12 things I like and let my SS have fun with it-- (1 M&M, 2 Twinkies, 3 dimensionals, 4 bottles of chardonnay)!!! Opps..how did that get in there?

FYI; the CEO of Stampin' Up, fell off a horse and hurt herself (Shelli) so I am finishing a get well card--I'll post it later--Love my Art Impressions stamps when I want to cheer someone up! She's on the mend--at home thankfully.

What's up for the weekend--anyone have any groovy plans?

Susan, thanks! I just was super stressed the past couple years and completely didn't even have a good area for my stamp therapy! I never realized how much I missed it! And we are overcomers! I am so excited to be in this swap though! So happy to have been included. And if I could afford it, I would so road trip to come stamp with you...lol, any of you ladies!

Joyce-I'm glad you clarified your wish list. Just in general, for a few moments, I wasn't quite understanding the instructions for this swap, but I think things are kicking into gear in my mind. Sorry for that nasty run-on sentence. Time to go to bed!

A Little Birdie Told Me Letter to my dear Secret Elf by MistyS

Dear Secret Elf,
A little birdie told me you needed a few ideas on what I would like for Christmas so I thought I'd send you a letter.

It's been a rough couple of months. I found out I was pregnant and we thought I was a couple of months along, but when we did an ultrasound found out I was only 10 weeks. At this time we also found out that I had 5 big fibroids. An appointment was set up to see a doctor who specializes in difficult pregnancies, but before I could go I miscarried. We later found out that the fibroids was big enough that they had caused the sac the baby was in to be misshapen & caused me to miscarry. I spent 2 weeks out of work to recover from this. It was then decided to get rid of the fibroids. When we saw the doctor who would be doing this surgery found out that with how big the fibroids were it would be best to have a hysterectomy. I had this procedure done at the beginning of August and was out of work for 6 weeks. Luckily I had enough time saved up that I was able to be paid for most of this, but it didn't help me from going stir crazy. I'm the type of person who can't just sit still (even while watching tv) I have to be doing something even if it's just reading while watching tv. Needless to say the 6 weeks off was going to drive me crazy so I started stamping again (it had been years since I had messed with the stamping stuff in the corner). Within the first week of recovery I became a SU demo (also found out I had very few things that hadn't been retired) and joined several swaps. This has kept me fairly busy during my recovery. It also had me looking at other companies for stuff that SU didn't have & found several with cute stuff. I'm now back at work but I'm still stamping and having fun creating new things.

Also a little more background. I'm about to 35 years old on the 2nd of Oct. Been married to my high school sweetheart for 15 years today. I also have a 14 year old son who loves games lol. I love to read, watch movies, play certain games, and spending time with my boys.

Okay now that you know a little about me it's time to get into what I would like for Christmas. Since I know it's IMPOSSIBLE for you to grant wishes like world peace, the end of world hunger, good & cheap insurance, my son not bugging me about his game all day, or even the winning of the lotto we'll stick to the small stuff.

I'm not real picky about what I get as I'm sure you have great taste and I will love anything you give me. Though to give you a few clues about what I would get for myself (from my boys of course) here's a list of a few things:
anything SU
anyhing Tim Holtz
anything Graphic 45 (especially like the Steam Punk stuff)
any cute stamps/papers/etc. that I probably couldn't get from SU
Rolos; Nestle Crunch bars; chocolate covered pretzels; red/pink starbursts
anything that looks like gold coins, gems, etc. (husbands making a treasure chest & what he doesn't use I steal for stamping projects)
I don't mind candles/lotions/etc. but the smell of Vanilla gives me a headache within 5 minutes
I love homemade projects also (i usually try to figure out how it was put together so I can remake too lol)
I like dies/embossing folders also but some brands won't fit into my cuttlebug

That is all I can think of to share dear elf I leave it in your good hands. I know whatever you send will be appreciated no matter how big, small, many, or few.

I was so sad to read about the loss of your baby. Doesn't matter what the circumstances are it's still a loss, isn't it? Trusting you'll find peaceful days as you recoup from everything.

true..I try not to think about it or go by baby stuff a whole lot right now as the loss is still so fresh & it hurts a lot.

I've been keeping myself very busy too.

No Smart Phone for me. I'd be clueless and I love it that way./B]
